Natriarchal/Natriarchist/Natriarch Flag

8 stripes of double redish dark brown, purple, white, double yellow, and double pearALT

Natriarchy: the non-binary equivalent of matriarchy and patriarchy; hypothetical social system in which the renther or an abinary/neutrois elder has absolute authority over the family group; by extension, one or more enbies/xeumels/xents (as in a council) exert a similar level of authority over the community as a whole; an idealist system of society or government in which genderqueeries and binaryn’t people hold the power and binaries are largely excluded from it.

I really like labrys like as a lesbian symbol but I don’t like the whole Nazi imagery thing + how many terfs have claimed the symbol. So like, look it’s upside down! And in a circle! And a slightly different colour!

I wanted to separate from the negative connotation of the original one, while staying true to the premise.

bi-sapphics:

HELLO !! i’ve been working hard tonight and now i’d like to propose a term & flag using the style of this post. (please reblog instead of just liking, btw!!)

may i present to you…….

BUTCHCAT.

image
image

what is “butchcat”? well, it’s essentially a combination of the terms “butch” and “tomcat” and it’s exclusive to bisexual sapphics.

it can be used a few different ways:

  • to mean both masculine and androgynous, whether that be presentation-wise, for relationship dynamics & roles, gender identity, or 2-3 together
  • same as above, but in-between masculine and androgynous rather than both at the same time
  • same as above, but to be fluid between the two
  • to be two different but separate identity labels that one identifies with
image

next, i’d like to explain my flag design.

to start, the brown stripes are supposed to resemble cat fur. the blue inclusion was inspired by this butch bi flag in particular, and the mint colors are supposed to spice up androgyny, like a breath of fresh air (y’know, how mint tastes like even though i don’t actually like it irl lmao).

the stripe meanings are as stated here (the ones in the bi format are essentially just simplified), but i’d also like to expand on what i mean with them:

image
image

“freedom of gender expression” is supposed to refer to both butch and tomcat separately, but the latter two meanings are each designated to one or the other. i found it difficult to assign something that would refer to tomcat particularly, so i just took inspiration from @doetomcatstag’s answered asks on their blog and went with how other bi women have described its significance to them: “fluidity in performance, authenticity in (nby) womanhood and sapphicism.” the existence of tomcat is there to help us define the experience of being both bisexual and sapphic in our own way, which in this case as opposed to doe/stag, is combining femininity and masculinity into androgyny for ourselves and other women, or being fluid between them. and of course i made sure to be nonbinary-inclusive. the wording is still a bit strict but as long as you consider yourself sapphic it is designed to resonate with you. “butch chivalry” is a common phrase within our community that honors our code and sworn role as butches. including this acknowledges that we are no less butch, neither for being bi nor for also simultaneously being tomcats.

androgyny & masculinity are self-explanatory.

the middle stripe describes the intersection, which is basically just the already-stated definition of the term, as well as what i said above about the first stripe from the top.

“bisexuality, biromanticism, and recognition that bisexuals are also sometimes gnc and can experience complex relationships with their gender” is deeply important to me personally. this kind of bi erasure is so common, both intentionally and unintentionally. unfortunately we are usually subconsciously dismissed as always being feminine for the availabilty of men, which isn’t just biphobic but misogynistic. there are also many lesbians out there who think that only they can be gnc because they’re “real” gay women, neither of these statements are true. to be butch and/or tomcat is to inherently bc gnc, which is why this stripe is so important.

expanding on the bottom stripe of the bi-formatted flag – “bisexual sapphic culture; allowing bisexuals the usage of butch/femme from their own history while also honoring the new bi-exclusive terms.” this ties in pretty similarly to my point about bimisogyny, except it’s slightly different in that it originally neglected the mention that we also have to fight hard to be able to use butch/femme and other “lesbian” culture without backlash. you may have noticed a huge part of this blog is dedicated to fighting that fight, so i thought this would be necessary to include.

image

moving on, i’d also like to add that i do, in fact, have assigned meaning for the little minty cat symbol as well:

image
image

there is no butch bi or tomcat bi or butchcat bi community without bi solidarity. we have to be there for each other, and stand up for each other when our non-harmful identities are challenged. what does it mean to put on a performance for other (bi) women if you won’t even play your part?

image

i hope you like it. and please tag me if you use either of these flags for whatever!!

don’t forget that this term is exclusive to bi sapphics!! (why?)

also please let me know if this flag design is too similar to another, please & thank you!!

Anyways yeah I wanted to make myself an alternative butch flag b/c I do really like the association with blue one of the flags had, but I also wanted to make one that anyone could use. Plus, 5 stripes.

So yeah these are the Lunar Butch, Solar Femme, Eclipse Futch, Moonlight Soft Butch, and Sunlight Thistle Femme flags. As long as you ID as butch/futch/femme in good faith, feel free to use these! These flags are inclusive of non-women & non-lesbians/non-sapphics who ID as these terms.

.

These flags were originally posted on separate posts, the butch, futch and femme flags on September 28th, 2022; and the soft butch and thistle femme flags on September 29th, 2022.

You also don’t need to ID with the terms soft butch or thistle femme to use these. The Moonlight Soft Butch flag can be used by any futches/butches who view themselves as femme/feminine-leaning, and the Sunlight Thistle Femme flag can be used by any futches/femmes who view themselves as butch/masculine-leaning. (This includes alternative IDs such as Hard Femme)

I mainly made these for myself, as I found myself becoming uncomfortable with using the flag I had been using, plus I liked one of the blue butch flags I’ve seen, so I decided to go off of that. Basically made these as all inclusive flags 🙂

These flags can be useful for gayhets plus homoflexible and heteroflexible people. However, it can be used for queerhets, monosexual gays, and sexless acespecs as well. These may be seen as outdated within bisexual activist community nowadays. Also some problematize the author, but the descriptions are neutral in nature.

gender-jargon:

Cisgender Transex: Describing individuals whose gender identity is congruent to their assigned gender at birth (AGAB), but have a sex identity that differs from their unmodified, natal sex.

Describing the intersection of cis- gender modality and trans- sex modality.

Etymology

A combination of the terms “Cisgender” and “Transex”, describing gender modality and sex modality, respectively.

The first recorded use of the term cisgender was from a 1994 post to alt.transgendered on Usenet by Dana Leland Defosse. All through the 1990s, the term was used  to describe individuals who are, “on this side of the behavioral, cultural or psychological traits typically associated with one sex”, meaning “that one’s identity and presentation match their physical morphology”.

The original concept of cisgenderness differs from how it is used presently, as the original definition of the term does not account for gender assignment, meaning that it isn’t a gender modality. At this point, the term cisgender was more akin to the term “gender conformant”. The term was ultimately popularized by biologist Julia Serano in 2004 in her book Whipping Girl.

In some time between late 2018 and early 2019, jurist and bioethicist Florance Ashley proposed the concept of gender modalities. This was essentially created to emphasize that gender identity itself is different than gender identity in relation to one’s assigned gender. For instance, an transgender woman and a cisgender woman have the same gender identity, both being women, but they have different gender modalities because the transgender woman has a different gender than the one she was assigned and the cisgender woman identifies with her assignment. This change in terminology was suggested, as it attempt to reduce “othering”, enhance vocabulary, resolve semantic contraversies and allows for non-binary gender modalities (cisn’transn’t).

Transex is defined as having a sex identity that transcends one’s “biological sex“ or unaltered “natal sex”; denoting or relating to a person whose sense of sex identity or biossex does not correspond with their birth sex. This term was coined by moderator Arco Pluris of Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags in 2020. The term transex is similar to transsexual, but serves as a umbrella term for all trans- related sex identities (corporeal, immaterial, desired, etc.). A sex identity is describes one’s personal sense of their sex via their sex traits and their self-interpretation of how their corporeal sex is or should be.

Some examples of Cisgender Transex identities:

  • An AFAB, cisgender butch lesbian who is transmasculine, desiring top surgery and HRT.
  • An AMAB, GNC, cisgender male drag queen who is transfeminine, desiring breasts and a wider hips.
  • A cisgender, xeno-aligned individual of an unknown assignment who is faunagenital, making them transxenine.
  • A cisgender-aligned, transn’t non-binary individual who desires genital nullification and removal of the nipples, being transneutral.

…etc.

(Sources: X X X X X X X X X)

Flag

The flag’s design is a combination of the transex flag and what I imagine a cisgender pride flag would look like if it was necessary and in good-taste to create one. The flag consists of nine main stripes, having half the flag being flipped vertically. From top to bottom, the stripes are black, dark grey, a half and half dark pink or dark blue stripe, a half and half light pink or light blue stripe, a large white center stripe with a triangular point, a half and half light pink or light blue stripe, a half and half dark pink and dark blue stripe, dark grey and black. The flag carries the following meanings:

  • The topmost and bottom-most black and grey stripes are represent gender conformancy.
  • The dark pink/dark blue stripe represents identifying with one’s gender assignment
  • The light pink/light blue stripe represents transcending one’s natal sex.
  • The white stripe with triangular point represents being varsex

EDIT: While researching another term, I discovered I made a mistake regarding the etymology of “cisgender”. The post has since been updated to correct this error.

EDIT 2: I had a dummy moment and accidentally classified this term as purely Aldernic. While this situation can often result in what would be classified as an Aldernic/Altersex identity, that is not necessarily the case. The post has once again been updated to correct this error.

:

During othercon I brought up wanting a polyamorous pack and I want to expand on that here.

I call it “pack attraction” (like familial, romantic, whatever), and it’s a form of attraction where I essentially want to form a close found family esque “household” with a bunch of people. I want to form a pack.

By household I mean a single, condensed group. My ideal would clearly be the entire pack living together in a bigish house, but just meeting up often with the entire group would probably be sufficient.

I suppose it could be considered familial attraction, as family is a very broad and all encompassing term. Family shouldn’t just mean parents, children, blood relatives, a hierarchy, but to me it does. So I see my attraction as that of a strange pack, a group of people bonded to each other who all care for each other deeply. It’s deeply emotional and animalistic for me.

chaoscoining:

Pack / Communal Attraction

Originally coined by @gentleteeth.

A type of attraction centered around a desire to form a community with, or integrate into a community, those one is attracted to. Associated with otherkin / therian packs and flocks, and with communes. Also groups that meet up consistently, like conventions and hobby circles.

May be considered adjacent to familial attraction and often expressed as a type of queerplatonic attraction, but neither association is needed to experience this type of attraction!

Meanings:

  • Blue – Community
  • Cyan – Close Bonds
  • Orange – Hearth & Home
  • Red – Beastliness

More generally, the flag is also representing a concept of meeting with many others under a bright blue sky.

Asocial Spectrum / Aso-Spec

Asocial Spectrum, also known as the Asocial Umbrella or the Aso-Spec (pronounced ay-soo), is a group of social orientations that fall under Asocial as an umbrella term. Those who fall under the Asocial term may lack social attraction, experience it differently from the norm, or feel it very little and therefore relate to the Asocial term. This does not mean those who are on the Asocial spectrum cannot feel social attraction or have the desire to socially interact, but it depends on every individual; it can means they do not experience “rushes” regularly or what is considered “normal” as the average allosocial would or simply struggle to socially interact/relate.

As always, regardless who is on the Asocial spectrum, can also have any other orientation that is aside from Asocial (Split Attraction).

As far as I’ve seen, I only know of the Fa’afafine flag. Unfortunately it can be a bit of a shot in the dark when it comes to finding culture-specific flags, but if anyone knows of someone who has made or would make flags for Fa’afatama and Fa’atamaloa please help!

Base stripes have the same meaning as in regular rainbow flag, except red has a touch of rose to optionally include sex for those who want to interpret it that way.

In the middle circle, obviously black and brown fist stands for Black people and other people of color. Top lavender stripe in the circle is a mixture of pink, blue and white and represents trans people; gray represents ace people; bottom purple is intersex people, just like the yellow and purple on intersex flag.

The circle around the fist symbolizes a wheelchair wheel, and represents all disabled and neurodivergent people.

I wonder what is your opinion on it – I’m open to feedback.

(Image description: A microlabel pride flag design. It is made up of 3 horizontal bars, with the middle bar being much wider than the other two. The top bar is a dull-ish red, the large middle bar is black, and the bottom bar is a dull-ish/dark blue)

Hello, a friend of mine really needs some help to track down the origins of this flag design. it is presented on some wikis online as an overall microlabel flag. However, none of those wikis list any sources for the flag, not even if it was made specifically for the wiki.

We’ve tried searching on Tumblr, Twitter, and other social media sites, and even using reverse image search. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find anything out about this design! I’ve definitely seen it shared around outside of those wiki, so it’s definitely recognized and in use by people. But it seems its reach is so limited that the source was lost at some point.

Do you know where this design came from? Who made it, or maybe even the meanings of the colors at least? If not, please share this submission with your followers and see if anyone else knows of where this flag came from. We really want to help preserve MOGAI history such as this, so we will truly appreciate any help you or your followers can give! Thank you!

Androgyne Maverique Pride Flag

[ID.: six horizontal stripes colored with hot pink, purple, cyan, white, orange, and yellow. End ID.]

  • Androgyne: gender ambiguity (ambigue) in-between masculine and feminine (midgender); a mixture of male and female genders (genderpotion/shuffler); being both man and woman (ambigender/femache or femasle/manwoman); or an autonomous gender (AUIN) derived from or referencing both binary genders (nymangi/midbinary/ambinary).
  • Maverique: an abinary/aphorian gender identity (ABIN) that is defined by autonomy and view about one’s internal sense of self which is not related to or derived from manhood (miaspec) or womanhood (fiaspec), but also is not neutral (NONIN) nor absence of gender (comgender/allogender).

Reasons someone can be maverique androgyne: polygender or multigender (fluid or simultaneous; plurigender or genderfluid); gendermix or polymerization; poxogender aporagender; partly maverique partly androgyne (demiandrogyne demimaverique); outherine/aporine lingender (lideospec/lideogender) or liagender (liaspec); androgyne-aligned (calypsian) maverique-adjacent; maverique-related eclipsian; centrigender.

Sociodysphoric/Physiodysphoric Flags

Sociodysphoric Pride Flag

Sociodysphoria: a term for social gender dysphoria; ascribing dysphoria directed towards how you are referred to and viewed by others and society (name, pronouns, gender roles and how others perceive you). It may also include sociocultural/cultural dysphoria (dissonance between the social expectations of an individual’s cultural performance or identity, and their desired embodiment of that culture, or uncertainty about where they fit into existing cultural categories).

Physiodysphoric Pride Flag

Physiodysphoria: a term for corporeal gender dysphoria; ascribing dysphoria directed toward the physical aspects of one’s gender (chest, genitals, voice, body shape, etc.). Not necessarily gender dysmorphia.

Some individuals experience both, some only one (sociophoria or physiophoria), and some neither. And it’s not exclusive to trans people.

A suprabinary flag? It’s supragender×binary

ryanyflags:

Here’s some supragender flags 🙂
(You only requested supra-binary, but I thought I’d make flags for other genders as well.)

One thing I’m having a bit of a problem with is the names. Because supra- ends in A, and a lot of genders begin with A, there can be situations where two different terms end up having the same name. Like supra+binary and supra+abinary would both end up being “suprabinary” (unless you spell supra+abinary as “supraabinary”, but that doesn’t really work).

I’ll list the names with dashes for now
(in the same order as the flags are listed).

supra-binary,
supra-boy/guy/man/male,
supra-girl/gal/woman/female,
supra-nonbinary/enby/enban,
supra-abinary,
supra-atrinary,
supra-androgyne,
supra-agender,
supra-aporagender (or alternatively, supra-apora?),
supra-maverique,
supra-neutrois.

If anyone has any ideas for the names, feel free to make a comment/reblog (or ask).

I also wonder if supra-masc and -fem might be good ideas, though masc and fem are more gender qualities rather than just genders.

───────────────

Now time for the part about the flags’ designs, I generally chose the colors based off of their respective flags (the exception to this is binary and the two binary genders variants. I didn’t use any particular flag as reference, just used blue for guys and pinks for girls, and both for binary.)
I did also reuse colors from the original supragender flag and between flags. (So like reusing using the yellow instead of picking a new yellow).

The original supragender flag has a off white background, two grey rays, and yellow/green. I decided the two grey stripes would be the best places to put the colors, though for some all stripes had to be replaced.
The green and yellow I left to represent the “exceeds” and “extends past” part of the definition, though the off white could also serve this purpose. (I do not actually know what the original flags stripes/colors mean, so I don’t actually know what specifically any of those colors are supposed to represent).
For some flags, green and yellow were already used colors (like in abinary), in those cases, I prioritized the style of the gender flag, and add green, yellow, or white stripes at the top if there was room.

Do these work? I’m open to suggestions.

Equibinary Flag

leptrois:

[Image description: 5 stripes of black, grey, blue, white and pink. End description]

Equibinary (equigender + binary): experiencing binary genders in equal amounts, in perfectly equal parts. They could be nongenders, eugenders, antigenders, etc.

Different from ambinary because equinary/equary quantifies binaries/arities as equal and it includes those who are exclusively abinary only, in the sense that they are equally distanced from both binary genders, they have equal binary nongenders/a-genders.

Abinary Aroace Pride Flag

[ID.: five horizontal stripes colored with blue, orangy yellow, wine, desaturated pale light orange, and dark indigo. End ID.]

Abinary/aphorian: umbrella term for gender identities that are completely unrelated to the gender binary.

Aroace: being on both aromantic and asexual spectrums; not experiencing romantic nor sexual attraction.

MtFtN Pride Flag

[ID.: nine horizontal stripes colored with cyan, light pink, pink, lighter green, darker green, lighter green, pink, light pink, and cyan. End ID.]

MtFtN/M2F2N (MtFtNB/M2F2NB or MtFtX/M2F2X): transitioning from male to female to neutrois/neither/neutral and/or non-binary.

FtMtN Pride Flag

[ID: nine horizontal stripes colored with pink, light cyan, cyan, light green, darker green, light green, cyan, light cyan, and pink. End ID.]

FtMtN/F2M2N (FtMtX/F2M2X or FtMtNB/F2M2NB): transitioning from female to male to neutrois/neither and/or non-binary.

Not necessarily a detransition.

Intersex Neufemmasc Pride Flag

[ID: 11 horizontal stripes colored with purple, gradient from pink to yellow to blue, and yellow. End ID.]

  • Intersex: someone born with sex traits that do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies
  • Neufemmasc (neufemasc or neumascfem): neutral, masculine, and feminine.

AFAB Neumascfem Pride Flag

[ID: 11 horizontal stripes colored with pink, gradient from pink to yellow to blue, and pink. End ID.]

  • AFAB: assigned female at birth;
  • Neufemasc (neumascfem or neufemmasc): being neutral, feminine, and masculine.

The flag can be also interpreted as being: simultaneously FTM FTN FTF; transneufemasc (AFAB); cisfem isoneu transmasc; transneumasc translunar (or alternatively: sensfem, transfieldian or intrafeminine); adneufemasc/sensneufemasc (sensneumascfem or adneumascfem), etc.

Can be used for presentation, sex, gender and/or identity.

AMAB Neufemasc Pride Flag

[ID: 11 horizontal stripes colored with cyan, gradient from pink to yellow to blue, and cyan. End ID.]

  • AMAB: assigned male at birth;
  • Neufemasc (neumascfem or neufemmasc): being neutral, feminine, and masculine.

The flag can be also interpreted as being: simultaneously MTM MTN MTF; transneufemasc (AMAB); cismasc isoneu transfem; transneufem transtidal (or alternatively: sensmasc, transrainian or intramasculine); adneufemasc/sensneufemasc (sensneumascfem or adneumascfem), etc.

Can be used for presentation, sex, gender and/or identity.

Hyperdysphoric Trans flag

  • Could also be called “High Gender Dysphoria” as opposed to Hyperdysphoric
  • For Trans people who are Hyperdysphoric or consider themselves to have a high/higher level of gender dysphoria than those with low/lower gender dysphoria.
  • Based on the Low Gender Dysphoria / Hypodysphoric flag by Shadytay on Deviantart
  • Uses purple lines as opposed to the green on the Hypodysphoric flag as purple is the opposite of green and is a darker color.
  • The blue and pink are also darker to have a “heavier” look and contrast from the Hypodysphoric flag, to represent how one’s gender dysphoria can feel “heavy” or like it “weighs you down”

erosentien!

mogai-sunflowers:

erosentien

an umbrella term for orientations that are influenced by one’s nonhumanity! this is a general term for those whose romantic/sexual/tertiary orientations are tied to, influenced by, or related to their nonhuman identity! this term includes all who may fall under the umbrella of ‘nonhuman’- alterhuman, otherkin, therian, etc.!

erosentian comes from eros, a greek word for love, and sentient, combining the concepts of love/attraction and nonhuman sentience! the erosentien symbol i created is based on the nonhuman symbol, created by @nonanthropyhere!

important disclaimer-

there are some people who use nonhumanity/alterhumanity in bad faith as a guise to say their zoophilic actions are okay. while that is not super common and not at all the fault of those who are actually nonhuman and simply wish to exist, it still is imperative for me to note that this term is NOT that. it is not about using alterhumanity to excuse animal abuse, but rather a term for acknowledging those whose orientations and nonhumanity/alterhumanity are linked!

Pancentroid Pride Flags

image

Pancentroid (pan-gender centroid), centrogender or omnicentroid (omni-gender centroid): A gender that exists in the middle of the entire gender spectrum. Not necessarily experiencing all genders (such as pangender or omnigender) or being neutral or null (like neutrois). It can be a form of centripangender (or centriomnigender), meaning experiencing a gender centered in-between all genders accessible within ones experience, however it would be different from pancentrigender (or omnicentrigender) as that means experiencing all centrigenders possible. It’s also dissimilar to centrois as it’s not essentially leptrois (but can be leptive, just as infinigender). It can also be a form of equilibriogender (gender equilibrium, equilibriopangender or equilibrioomnigender/equilibriomnigender).

Adjectives: pancentroidal, omnicentroidal, gender-centroidal.

Term by me (formerly as simply ‘gender centroid’); flag and symbol by @isobug. Symbol for centroids in engineering (as the center of balance, center of gravity, and center of mass); flag without symbol under the cut.

ID: a white DNI with a panel of the manga Oyasumi Punpun with 5 kids doing a joint pose. Words are black on the right side: “DNI: anti- ‘contradictory’ labels, anti-mogai, terf, gatekeeper, anti-decolonization, believes ‘narc abuze’ is real, demonizes ‘scary/evil’ disorders + labels.” End ID.

do you know of any labels that are similar to parental attraction, but where it’s wanting to be a parental figure to a specific person, rather than raise a family with someone? i have always had an extremely strong paternal desire/’baby fever’ and have cried /pos when friends say they see me as the dad friend or as a paternal figure.is there any kind of name for this attraction? if not, could you help create one? my only issue with coining it is that maternal/paternal is very gendered, but the non-gendered term is already its own label.

naternal is an alternative to paternal/maternal (N from neutral, also because in alphabet it’s a consonant between M and P). filial is also a possibility.

I thought parental attraction used to encompass that too, but you can always coin a specific familial attraction. it could be called parenting attraction (intentionally similar).

New Term: Lovepunk

rennythevoid:

where-things-are-hollow:

small-ass-mustelid:

ok buckle up i wanted this term to exist so i went and coined it

Lovepunk can be both an identity and an opposition to the societal norms surrounding the concept of love. Lovepunk rejects the norms surrounding gender, attraction, orientation, and relationships, while actively resisting aphobia (arophobia, acephobia, aplphobia, etc) and the oppression caused by defying these norms. One doesn’t have to be aspec to be lovepunk, but lovepunks stand with aspecs. This term is open to anyone who feels that they defy societies norms surrounding the concept of love, either via intentional rebellion or simply existing as their true self.

For example: arospecs, acespecs, aplatonics, loveless, lovequeer, polyamorous people, trans and nonbinary people, queer people, neurodivergents, disabled people, BIPOC, and anyone else may feel that their society’s standards for love were not made to include them and were potentially even used to dehumanise them.

Think genderpunk, but for love! Identities like loveless and lovequeer can fall under this, but they don’t have to. It could even be considered a subset of, or related to voidpunk, but specifically defying norms as they relate to loving the “correct” way that all humans supposedly do.

didn’t upload this at the time, but here’s the voidpunk-esque flag i made for this a couple days back

i do love a good bit of flag design in paint.net

i made a longer version if anyone wants to make a profile pic with it!! this version isn’t really meant to be used alone (cause it looks weird from being stretched) it’s for the sole purpose of pfps (and possibly pins if you want) :>

the left is the flag and the right is an example of how it fits (thanks to instagram for the gui they use to change your pfp)

Sexophobiac Pride Flag

Sexophobia or sexuophobia: the fear of sexual organs or sexual activities and, in a larger sense, the fear of sexuality.

An ex-nonbinary folk may be binary or anonbinary, or even aphorian (abinary).

Ex-Man Pride Flag

Exman, exboy, exmale, exdude, or exguy (ex-boy, ex-man, ex-male, ex-dude, or ex-guy): someone who was man and at some point wasn’t man anymore.

This term includes both nonmen (an ex-man who is not man anymore) and men (in this case, such as those who are MtFtM for example).

Ex-Woman Pride Flag

Exwoman, exgirl, exfemale, or exgal (ex-girl, ex-woman, ex-female or ex-gal): someone who was woman and at some point wasn’t woman anymore.

This term includes both nonwomen (an ex-woman who is not woman anymore) and women (in this case, such as those who are FtMtF for example).

  • Requested by anon “to illustrate the term since there are flags for other kinds of platonic relationships such as situationships, QPR, etc.”
  • Could also be used by those who are Aplatonic/Apl-spec and do not desire anything beyond Acquaintanceship due to experiencing no/limited Platonic Attraction (they may still desire other non-Platonic Partnerships, unless they are totally Non-Partnering)

:

trans intersex to intersex (ITI) flag

[image id: a flag with two yellow stripes on the outside, two pinkish-purple stripes within it, and a purple stripe in the center. end ID]

not to be confused with being intersex and trans, this flag is for intersex people who are transitioning from intersex to intersex. their transition end goals are still intersex but they feel they are transitioning in the process. this may be to reverse IGM or nonconsensual HRT, but does not have to be.

some examples of this may be:

  • taking testosterone to enhance existing hyperandrogeny
  • surgery to restore previous genitalia
  • coming off of hormone suppressants or refusing to take hormone supplements
  • non-medical transitioning, such as no longer shaving a beard (or shaving one for the first time)
  • no longer binding breasts, or beginning to bind them
  • changing or adding pronouns that reflect your intersex identity
  • not transitioning in any specific way but just simply choosing to embrace your intersex body & intersex identity instead of trying to fit into the sex binary!
  • and much more

this flag is exclusive to intersex people. perisex people who want to become intersex do not interact.

Centrangi Flag

[image transcript: a flag with equally sized horizontal stripes colored with one-sized pastel light cyan, two-sized white, four-sized pastel purple, two-sized white, and one-sized pastel light pink. End transcript]

Centrangi (or centriangi): for when ones gender is somewhere in-between male and female genders; a gender that is centered in the middle of man and woman; or a gender experience intermediary of maleness and femaleness or intermediating both masculinity and femininity.

Some non-binary people consider their nonbinaryness to be in-between binary genders (without necessarily using a term for that). While some use androgyne for that, androgyne may also encompass other definitions and experiences (such as being femache/femasle, proxangi/juxtangi, nymangi/abinangi, etc.). Also one can be centrangi and be entirely abinary.

This can be a form of centrigender. Not to be confused with intergender, as intergender can be a descriptor for a gender experience tied to ones intersexness/intersex bodily variation.

Full label: centrandrogyne/centriandrogyne/centrigynandre; centrandrogynous/centriandrogynous/centriandrogyny/centrandrogyny/centrigynandry/centrigynandrous.

What does MOGAI mean? I don’t exactly trust google and I’m still confused about myself but I think it’s based around non binary but I can’t wrap my head around what each letter represents

MOGAI is an acronym that stands for Marginalized Orientations, Gender Alignments, and Intersex. It was originally coined to be used as an alternate LGBT+ acronym. It is still used somewhat in that sort of way, but has since evolved to essentially be the “more inclusive” acronym and those who use it are more likely than those who don’t to be inclusive of uncommon neoidentities such as xenogenders, those who use neopronouns, neogenders, conflicting identities, etc.

Image ID: There are 2 images. The right image is a 5-striped flag with stripes of equal size. The top stripe is red, followed by a lighter red, then white, then a light grey, and ending with a darker grey stripe. The left image is the same flag with an image in the middle representing a raccoon face in a simplified style. End ID.
