Hello Anon!

That sounds like a good term! There is a term called genderfox (a gender that is fast moving, mischievous, confusing and hard to catch into one term.)

There is also kingender. But no vixengender!

bpqua:

lavendrous would be a good adjective to describe any trait related to being non-straight or even non-cis tbh. or obviously anything else we could derive from the term lavender.

as it’s a colour that has historically been associated with sapphicism, bisexuality, genderqueerness, and the more radical (as in directly political) aspects of our community too…

i think it’s quite fitting, it’s a gentle smell, a beautiful flower too, so i think using the term more actively would be pretty neat. i think you could even say a lot of poetic things in relation to our experiences too tbh.

I like this idea tbh 😄

Drag queen pride flag!

Drag queen are typically men who dress as women and are preformance artists. They may or may not be transgender/nonbinary. Drag is a parody, it was never meant to be taken seriously. This flag has been around since at least February 2015. The pink is femininity and the white is community.

How do you classify some1 (whose dfab but IDs as nonbinary) in this situation: sex is “meh, ok, this is happening” but in retrospect you find it enjoyable. You don’t mind sexual activity, you don’t go out of your way “seeking out” sex. There’s definitely androphobia there with a strong preference for women, but overall I honestly don’t care what my partners identify as. I find genitalia repulsive and feel like my relationship trauma history makes the idea of “sexual attraction” very confusing

demonessdollie:

:

First off, thank you for this question. I am thanking you because I feel like honestly a LOT of people in the lgbt/mogai (whatever not straight shorthand you prefer) are in similar circumstances as yourself.

Relationship trauma, especially if it occurs before age 24 can DEFINITELY reshape/mold/change how our brain perceives romance and sex. This is because the brains neurons are considered very “elastic” prior to age 25-30 (how the brain learns things TENDS to slow down between ages 25-30). If the trauma happens during your “birth” of your “big interest” in others (in regards to sex or romance), this can make it even more confusing/troubling!

To answer your question, however, I think a FEW possible terms could work. Use whatever you feel most accurately defines your situation or whatever you feel is most accurate to you! The flag is UNDER the name/description. A good way of “feeling around” orientations is to talk with others who identify as one of these labels to see if you experience similar feelings/thoughts/desires/preferences/experiences/etc.

1. Greysexual: rarely experiencing sexual attraction OR under very specific circumstances, this is within the asexual community/spectrum/umbrella.

image

2. Pomosexual: feeling like your sexual identity is somewhere “between” all contemporary labels, but you feel like there could be a term more accurate to your feelings/experience in the future as the lgbt/mogai community evolves and gains a greater understanding of how human sexuality operates and considering queer/lgbt theory with how it influences our view of sexual orientation/attraction.

image

3. Byumasexual: A sexual orientation term for those who experienced some kind of trauma during the “awakening” of their sexual attractoin/orientation (for example: when one first starts to date or gets curious about their own sexual orientation). Due to this trauma, the concept or idea of “sexual attraction” is a very confusing subject to them. These individuals might have a basic idea of their orientation (”I know I am not straight” or “I know I am not gay”) but beyond that, it is a mystery. People who identify as Byumasexual might have a history of “cycling” through different sexual orientation terms, attempting to find a term that they feel comfortable with (the “light bulb moment”).

image

4. Pomoimpla: The idea behind this identity (pomoimpla) is that at the time, there is currently no specific sexual/romantic/sensual (again, depending on what suffix you apply this identity to) but you feel like sometime in the future, our ideas and philosophies behind what makes up our “identity” will advance to a point where a new term will be found and you will feel comfortable identifying as such.

image

5. Greyomnisapphic: a type of greysexuality where on the rare occasion that they do exhibit sexual attraction, they consider themselves pan/omni but strongly lean towards sapphic. This is within the asexual community/spectrum/umbrella.

image

6. Implasexual: Someone who feels they are never quite sure of their sexual orientation due to self doubt or anxiety.

image

7. Kupioflux/Cupioflux: Desiring and/or liking the idea of a certain type of relationship (sexual/romantic/etc) but the level of attraction/desire for the relationship fluctuating. You do NOT have sexual attraction.

image

Reblogging because this might help some people out!

This might set off some light bulbs for our followers for those wondering what their orientation could be!

-Vasilisa

It did help a lot, thank you so much! I have another question concerning myself, I basically can see myself with everyone (as long as they’re not like bigoted or a jerk or etc.) because I’m pansexual. But is there like panplatonic/pansensual/panwhatever? Because I don’t really base any attraction on gender (but I’m not gender blind, as that can be quite insulting since gender is very important to most), more so on whether I like them as a person or not.

Ah good! 😀 And yes! Any prefix can go with any suffix. So you can also use panplatonic/pansensual/etc. 🙂

Hello Anon!

You could possible be a fluid/shifting gender! There are a lot of shifting genders out there, so if you would like a specific type of shifting gender, or can give more detail, I could give you some examples!

Also, I would look into possible orientations such as Omnigay.

I hope this helps!

Hello Anon!

I would like to remind you that expression does not equal gender.

With that being said, I would maybe look at demiboy, which means identifying partially as a boy/man, and identifying partially as something else that can either be known or unknown.

There are a lot of genders under the demigender umbrella, so if you would like to know more, please ask. I hope this helped a little!

Hello Anon!

There is a term for this called Cupio~/Kalos~!

The exact definition is not feeling a type of attraction, but desiring interaction that goes with it regardless.

Would you still like to coin the term?

Hey I heard you guys like readable guides so I made some readable guides for some alignment/gender/presentation systems.

IN THIS ORDER: Galaxy Gender Alignment, which is meant to be replacements for the typical ‘___-aligned’ description. Made by @temp-nb-blog

Celestial System, which is for nonbinary genders that have a soft “energy” to them – not a gender or gender alignment in and of itself. Made by @juparian

Xenic Alignment System, which is for xenic genders. Made by @uncommongenders

Aesthetic Alignment, which is for gender expression. Made by @elfiot

Exemgenders System, which is for xenogenders that have wild and animalistic traits, following the Pokemon types as a theme. Made by @coiningblog

Gemder Element System, which is for a gender’s essence, not necessarily its associated alignment. Made by @genderelementarchive

WARNING: When you see the word “Neutral,” THAT DOES NOT MEAN “IN BETWEEN” OR “ANDROGYNOUS.” In most contexts here it actually means “gendered, but not binary,” which is similar to “nonbinary” but since all of these genders are nonbinary to begin with, think of it as the unnamed, but still resonant, feeling of having gender that has no masculine or feminine feelings within it. In the case of the Aesthetic Alignment, “Andro” is short for Androgynous, or rather mixed (or in between) gender expression.

The terms “masc” and “fem” are short for “masculine” and “feminine,” not really masculine or feminine genders, but masculine or feminine feelings

The Element System has a secondary colorblind-friendly chart, since I know the color choices I picked for the first chart may not be viewable for some people with visual disabilities (yellow-blue color blindness, for example). Hopefully, for those it applies to, the colorblind version’s easier to see.

And for the love of god, please, open these in another tab/window. Do not view them inside tumblr’s image preview, I will die inside.

If you have any other gender alignment systems that you want made into a viewable, broken down graph, please let me know. I’ll do what I can. I need sources for ALL CONTRIBUTORS and ALL POSTS should there be multiple posts/contributors involved in the alignment system.

Terfs, swerfs, MAPs, anti-MOGAI and other gender gatekeepers keep your filthy hands off.

Okay so after some discussion with others, and some embarrassing mistakes, I’ve decided to put up this CORRECTED version of the Galaxian Alignment system.

The reason for the correction was because not only did I get the demi- terms incorrect (and accidentally switched Galaxian with Celestian), but I had misunderstood the original intent of the coined system.

The description for Solarian is “In many cultures and religious systems, the sun is associated with masculinity, and male energy. As a result, a Solar Nonbinary Person, or Solarian, would be someone who has similarities in identity or experience with men. The term functions as a less easily abused form of ‘male aligned.’”

The point is to give a replacement to ‘female-aligned,’ ‘male-aligned’ and ‘nonbinary-aligned’ statements, but it also has to do with the person’s experience. For example, while I identify as transmasculine, I have both female-aligned and male-aligned experiences in my day to day life, so I could identify as Eclipsian. However, because I’m transmasculine and I do not want to identify with female alignment in any capacity, I identify as Solarian.

So there’s a number of ways you can use these terms for yourself. You can describe yourself under both your gender identity and your gender experience (which in my case are actually different), or you can go with just the one that best matches your experience or identity. Some even use this to acknowledge that, while they are of a certain identity, they still experience another alignment at the same time.

It’s completely up to you.

But remember, these are not genders. These are alignment identifiers, minus the ‘male-’ or ‘female-’ or ‘nonbinary-’ spectrum alignment implications. So I’d tack this on my gender as “solarian trans man” if I was describing myself.

I hope that can clear up the mess I accidentally made with my first post. @uncommongenders @transgalaxies @ask-pride-color-schemes @coiningblog @beyond-mogai-pride-flags if you lovely people could kindly reblog this along with my original post that’d be so, so helpful to make sure my correction gets out there.

hey so.. I don’t really feel comfortable with the idea of using philia for an orientation. its already been pretty well established as being used for fetishes so thats definitely what people will take away from using it. you guys are creative i’m sure you can come up with something else to denote a strong liking towards someone or something that doesn’t already have an entirely different connotation.

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry. I was only just made aware of these posts.

I absolutely agree. I’ll take those posts down right away.

I apologize for any problems caused.

for short. It means “both sides”, in line with cis (“on this side”) and trans (“across”). It is a modifier, and NOT a gender.

It is a word for people who genuinely experience aspects of both trans and cis experiences, but do not fit either label: female-aligned alters in dfab DID/OSDD systems whose system has medically transitioned to male and male-aligned alters in the reverse situation. I am also open to it being used by individuals that have hormonal conditions that cause them to produce far too much of the “wrong” sex hormone, causing them to develop secondary sex characteristics, if said condition has done so. If you have another situation that I have not mentioned, feel free to ask, because I cannot list every applicable scenario.

Genuine question here: what exactly are you trying to do on this blog? A lot of the disorders you make flags for are things that generally people don’t want to parade around or its something they’re trying to recover from. Itd be like having a pride flag for intrusive suicidal thoughts. I just don’t understand what you’re trying to do here.

We are mad pride. Mad pride is in the simplest of terms, a way to destigmatize mental illness. It’s a movement that started in the UK as a way to reclaim words like “psycho” and “luny”. We also don’t want people to feel shame or isolated because of having a mental illness.

You can read the full history of the mad pride movement here on your own time: https://madprideflags.tumblr.com/history

This is totally a thing and something we learn about more for gay men in med school at this point in time as opposed to maybe ten or twenty years ago. Along with anal Pap smears, this is another one of those things we have to get tested for that may seem “outside the norm” from other patient populations. Fortunately, we younger doctors are being trained to fight/diagnose parasitic and fungal infections that the older generations just haven’t come across before. I’ve Contracted My Third Gastrointestinal Parasite From Rimming—And I Can’t Be The Only Gay Man Suffering

Could I use pomophobia for bigotry against who has undefined attraction? Or is there a better word for that? Prescriptivism?

:

This is difficult to answer. First and foremost, let’s get the definition for what the dictionary qualifies as “oppression”

As you can tell, this screenshot is directly from dictionary.com.

The exercise of authority or power in a burdensome, cruel, or unjustmanner.

Can people with “social power” (in this case, straights) be cruel to those who identify as pomosexual or questioning? Yes, absolutely.

an act or instance of oppressing or subjecting to cruel or unjustimpositions or restraints.“

Can people be cruel to those who identify as pomosexual or questioning? Yes, absolutely.

the state of being oppressed (Archaic. to put down; subdue or suppress.).

Can people attempt to subdue someone’s identity of “stomp out” their arguments for identifying as pomosexual or questioning? Yes.

.”the feeling of being heavily burdened, mentally or physically, bytroubles, adverse conditions, anxiety, etc.“

Can people who identify as pomosexual or questioning experience negative mental health symptoms due to their identity? Yes, because of society’s “fear” of the unknown as well as much of the online LGBT’s “repulsion” for new and/or unusual terms.

So with that said

Going by the dictionary definition, yes, it is possible for pomosexuals and/or those who identify as “questioning” to experience oppression. Like any hate-driven term, there is a spectrum. You don’t have to be in the streets screaming “POMOSEXUALS MUST DIE” but if you roll your eyes or make a post like “OMG you’re just “Special”” when discussing pomosexuality online, this still qualifies as oppression because it fits the definition.

This might benefit some of our viewers

-Vasilisa

I’m not very good with colours but maybe there could be something to represent safety and maybe passion and idk really. I’m not very artistic. Maybe you could have a look at the definition and see what works?

Hello Anon!
I will say I am having a bot of a hard time reading this ask but you might want to consider a fluid orientation. Some out there are:

Abro~ An orientation that is constantly changing, never stable.

Sans ~ When there’s no trend line in the attraction; basically, it’s a very fluid orientation. Like aroflux, but all orientations, not just aro scale. It means no orientation (sans means without).

Myr ~ Experiencing lots of aspec orientations together.Similar to Propeest- but different in that (likely):Propeest refers to a mix of orientations, and myr refers to experiencing various orientations together

Hope these help! If not you can always coin a term.

Hello Anon!

There are several genders realted to aesthetics, but there is not one that I can find that pretains specifically to beauty. You can always coin a term though!

Mod Jace

Hello! As you are fictionkin, I am pretty sure you believe in the multiverse theory. (correct me if wrong). One way to look at this is possible that your friend is drawing a Link from another reality. They are might be trying to head cannon some popular characters/characters they like to help with their dysphoria (since they are nb).

Now I do not know if you have told your friend you are fictionkin, but here are some ways to possibly explain.

If you have told them, and they are okay with it/accept it then possibly just explain to them or ask them not to show you the drawings.

If you haven’t told them, then maybe try to ask if they could make some transmale head cannons of Link. This might not workk, but it is worth a shot.

Also take into consideration that they might also be kin with Link, just from a different universe/reality. This is quite possible. But all and all maybe just ask them nicely, telling them the truth. If you feel that they might not accept you as fictionkin, then just say it reminds you of your dysphoria, and you would like it if they did not show you. Since they are also under the trans* umbrella, they will possibly understand.

I hope this helps!

Is it wrong making more types of orientation? (as for -protetive, -submissive, -affective, -emotional and mental attractions) If I design an asocial and anamical pride flag(s) what colors would I put? Red, brown, gold or/and yellow? Asocial – not feeling social attraction Nonamical – not feeling amical attraction (not desiring friendship)

It’s definitely not wrong! But amical sounds similar to platonic, and the color for platonic attraction is yellow. Just a heads up! And also I think red might be an alternative color for romantic attraction? Make sure you look into these things before you label any more orientation labels! But I don’t think brown is taken yet!

Hello!! I apologize for being pushy… I have sent you two asks wondering if there is a term, or flag, for people who are romantically or sexually attracted to ghosts and spirits. I don’t know if it was eaten, lost in your inbox, or if you think that this ask might not be genuine – I promise it is. I want to know if there are other people who have an attraction similar to mine! Thanks in advance!!

No no, you’re absolutely fine. I’m so very sorry, I think they got swept away when I cleared out the inbox (I had way too many asks in there).

But anyways, you’re in luck! There is a term and a flag for you!

Spectro-: attraction to ghosts, poltergeists, or phantoms.

Hope that helps, and again I’m very sorry it took so long!

something to address

emojiselfpronouns:

so it’s not a shock, im sure, that this blog is going around anti-mogai circles. i fully expected this, and i dont really care tbh.

but one thing i want to address is: “But how far is TOO far for even emoji pronouns?”

im pretty sure that at least one of the asks in the inbox right now is a troll. possibly several of them are. but heres the thing: it doesnt matter

it doesnt matter because its not “too ridiculous” or “too embarrassing”. there is no emoji, no combination of emojis, that is “too far” for me to understand and love, okay? i dont know how you feel about your pronouns or your gender, i dont know how you came to the conclusion of certain pronouns, and i dont NEED to know.

so if it comes up that some trolls send in pronouns, and i validate them, and the trolls reveal “BUT IT WAS I!” its okay. that doesnt mean those pronouns are bad. it means those people are bad. nothing else.

and to the trolls: take this as a challenge all you want. all you’re doing is proving that we are a community that will accept anyone. this says nothing about us, and everything about you.

Cis, Trans, and Utrinque

married-to-the-night:

Hello, my name is Alannah. I’m here to present a new term that I hope is as useful to others as it is for me. Please hear me out.

I’m an alter in a dissociative identity disorder system. I am a [nonbinary] girl, and I use she/her pronouns. Our body was designated female at birth, and at the time that I split (2011), I probably could have identified as cis.
However, around 2013, I went dormant, meaning I wasn’t around at all, no input on our actions whatsoever.
When I resurfaced again, it was 2017. Other alters had begun taking testosterone in 2014. I awoke to having male-passing body. A different body shape, a deep voice, thick body and facial hair, a new legal name, and a new legal gender, amongst other things. Now, whenever I present as myself, I put myself and the system as a whole at risk. I deal with a great deal of dysphoria, and a great deal of fear regarding things as simple as how to refer to myself and which restroom to use, how to be me and not risk our life and career. I have to do a lot of work to make sure that I “pass” as my gender.

Because of this, I cannot identify with the cis experience. Some parts of it, maybe, because I live in a body born with a vulva and uterus, and others alters have the memory of being raised as a girl, but the majority of it I cannot. There is actually much more that I can connect to in the experiences of trans women. But I am not, and can never be, a trans woman. There are elements of that experience that I can never know, and it would be wrong for me to claim a label that does not belong to me.
So I experience parts of both experiences, but live neither life. There is not a word that describes this experience, so I have decided to make one to exist alongside of cis and trans.

Utrinquegender

Or utrinque for short.

I really hope that this can be a useful term for others, because I know I’m not the only one that has been left without a word. Please do me a favour and spread this, so that this term can gain visibility and usage.

Boost!

The anon who wanted to know about Alterous n such, So I got that Queerplatonic may be a mix of alterous and romantic/platonic attraction, but what exactly is Alterous when used on its own? Is it just the umbrella term to describe queerplatonic attractions and other types?

Yup! Queerplatonic is essentially just a more specific term, while Alterous is the broader term. So it’d be kinda like… I can label myself as Non-binary as the broader term, OR I could label myself as Genderfluid as a more specific term. Hope I’m making sense!

So like, What is Alterous attraction? I know it’s a general term for attractions not romantic or sexual, right? So queerplatonic? But is Alterous itself a standalone attraction with its own feelings other than queerplatonic and maybe Im missing one or two? I just would like clarification. Ive seen so many posts explaining it, but still dont quite understand

I explained the difference between queerplatonic and alterous here. Hopefully that helps, but you if you still have questions you’re definitely welcome to come back. 🙂

Google Drive of all the pride flags in my collection

ask-pride-color-schemes:

You can download the full size of everything in one go. All the flags, resources and symbols, all the PSDs, all the combos, all the triforces.

Disclaimer: It’s pretty disorganized. But most everything is there.

[Link]

The main folder is basically my to-do list as well as a few of the most common templates.

If you wanna help out and redo some of the more complicated ones in 5000×3000 and submit, then that’d be really appreciated. You can upload them on imgur.com and link me, it should keep the original quality. If it has a symbol on it, could you also please upload a transparent png of it too?

  • Chevrons have every chevron I’ve made in there.
  • Templates are for ya’ll to make your own HQ flags without having to draw out the stripes each time, and they’re all the “standard” 5000×3000 I use in my gallery.
  • Scraps are random flags I’ve (usually) created that don’t have a term to go with them and are perfectly free to claim for something you ID with. Just be sure to send me a message saying you intend to use it for something so more than one person doesn’t use the same flag for two different things.
  • Uploaded is for things I’ve uploaded to the DA but haven’t posted yet. I move them to “Posted” when I do. And then I move them to their own organized folders when I upload them to the main tumblog.
  • Everything else should be self explanatory I think.

Um, to the anon who said ” i wanna be scorpiogender”, just a thing: Did you mean you identify as that or something close, or wish you did, for purposes of “coolness” or uniqueness? Because the 1st one is great, 2nd one not so much. Wishing to be a non-traditional gender/sexuality, or even wishing to “be trans”, aren’t ok. It’s not just an accessory, a cool pronoun or new descriptive, something you can put on. Also people like that are kinda ostracized by many people. Be proud of what you are!!!!

So I’m watching this video right now and I just really wanted to share it with you all.

I don’t usually ever see coming-out videos related to someone’s non-binary identity, so as a closeted non-binary individual myself this just really hit me lol.

But I think its just as important to know that you can come out as non-binary, if you’re comfortable enough to!

-Fy

Hello Anon! Here are a few terms!

Placio ~ Describes a person who desires to perform acts associated with a type of attraction for/on their partner(s) despite not feeling that type of attraction or not wanting to have those actions reciprocated.

Cupio ~ Not feeling a type of attraction, but desiring interaction that goes with it regardless.

Incula ~ Being A- (aromantic, asexual, etc) but being open to sexual acts, romantic acts, etc.

Aego~/ Autochoris ~ An orientation that is centered around people other than yourself. When you enjoy the idea of a particular kind of attraction, or when that attraction is being experienced by other people, but do not experience it yourself.

Hope these help!

Mod Alec

Hello Child-of-the-sky-people!
This sounds like a great alternative!

What is everyone else’s opinion?

Mod Alec

Hello Anon! Here are a few terms that fot your desscription!

Aliqua ~ Not typically feeling a type of attraction, except under specific circumstances.

Kairo ~ Someone who only feels attraction at the precise moment when certain conditions are met (the conditions could vary from person to person)

I hope these help!

Mod Alec

Hello anon!

There is actually a gender called faygender, which means a gender that feels closely related to the magic of nature, fairies, or other small ethereal beings.

I hope this helps!

Mod Alec

Hello!

I do not have any good terms that could be coined really. Mxsc Nonbinary? (Using the Gxrl/Bxy kinda thing?)

Does anyone else have suggestions?

Mod Alec

what’s anonbinary??

Apparently, it is people whose gender is outside the binary and even nonbinary gender systems. 🙂

I dont think there’s a flag for gynxgender, so I found this! Credit goes to vinny_spice on Instagram!

It doesn’t hurt to have an alternative though, so thanks for the submission!

Hello Anon!

There are a few terms that you could use!

Bxy ~ A gender that is both boy and agender/no gender. You can be a boy and agender/no gender at the same time, go between them, or fluctuate between feeling male and not feeling gender.

Ceterogender ~ A nonbinary gender with specific feminine, masculine, or neutral feelings.

Ogligender ~ having 3-5 genders

Trigender ~ A gender identity that is composed, in some way, of three distinct genders. These may be experienced one after the other (as in, an identity that is fluid between three genders), or all at once (as in, an identity that is composed of three genders simultaneously).

I hope these help anon! If not you can always coin a term!

Mod Jace

I’m an afab agender and up until the age of around 7 I was starting to grow out of girly things(princess costumes, etc).Sure it could’ve been something I liked but the years after that I didn’t want to wear womanly clothes/things.I sometimes wished my chest was bigger, but only because I thought it would attract men;;(im an a-cup rn).Other than that im v happy with my body. Does anyone else(not just agender) feel a disconnection w their gender too? Or is that the whole point of being nb? >~<"

It could be, although clothes don’t necessarily translate to gender! However, none of the mods are agender, so if one of our agender followers would like to pitch in, that’d be great!!

Pangenderflux / Panflux

Pangenderflux / Panflux – A genderflux variation that fluctuates from pangender to agender, maybe reaching demipangender, magipangender, and nanopangender in between.

Not to be confused with the sexuality panflux.

Thanks for the submission!! 😀

Hello Anon!

I have not heard that definition, but here is what it means to me.

I believe it means alterhumans, ex. otherkin, therians, ect. As an Omni ~ person, I believe you see these traits, see the people, and are not “blind” to the traits, but see them and love them as part of the person. I think that is the best way to decribe it. seeing and being attracted reguardless.

I hope this helps Anon.

Mod Jace

Hello Anon!

There are a few terms that might fit!

Omnigay ~ Genderfluid, with one’s attraction to other genders changing with one’s gender so that the individual is always attracted to the same gender

Novo ~ An orientation that changes along with one’s gender. For use by individuals with fluid genders. Defining one’s particular shifts in orientation (ie what orientations correspond to the genders one experiences) is an option, but is not required.

I hope these help!

Mod Jace

Hello Anon!

Hello Anon!

I understand the difficultly. This is a common thing amoung most MOGAI/LGBT+ terms. I will say that there are more alternatives to fawnsexual! If those do not work you can always coin your own alternative!

Mod Jace

Hello Anon I actually have a term that might fit you!

Gynx ~  gender inbetween female and androgyne.

As far as I know, thus gender can be fluid also. I hope this helps!

Mod Jace

Hello pastel-espurr!

I do like the look of it and the meaning! How is it pronounced?

Mod Jace

Is there a gender that’s influenced by the spirits around you? I’m a medium so i pick up on surrounding spirits a lot and it slightly influences my gendered feeling. I’m mostly gendervoid, but when i pick up on surrounding spirits, it infringes on it and makes not so much like a void, but only slightly. I hope i don’t sound like a troll, i promise I’m genuinely asking.

Let’s see… the closest I could find would be Espigender (A gender which is related to being a spirit or exists on higher or extradimensional planes), but that doesn’t sound quite like what you’re asking for. So if you’d like, you should definitely coin one and submit it!! 😀

I played with the flag colors from the flag that xmidnightwinex had submitted since the bright pastels were very hard on the eyes (and some computer resolutions/monitored made it dang near impossible to tell apart the different colors, and/or it look like a white box).

Some people don’t feel comfortable with the term “queer” (given its dark history with the AIDS pandemic), so my alternative phrase is “Bunny Allo” (meaning you don’t identify as straight, but you do believe you have sexual attraction).

For Bunny Allo, the definition would be: Someone who experiences sexual attraction, but has a strong preference for romantic and sensual activities (kissing, cuddling, dates, hand holding, etc.) over sexual activities when it comes to relationships.

If you don’t like Bunny Allo, here’s some other possible alternatives!

  • Bunny Zedsexual (zedsexual was a suggested alternative to allosexual in the asexual community that never quite caught on for one reason or another)
  • Bunny Comsexual (taken from English prefix that means “fully”)

If you are not sure if you experience sexual attraction or not (for example, the concept of “sexual attraction” might be totally confusing to you or you feel totally “lost” when attempting to define it)

Bunny Pomo is an alternative to use! This would mean, specifically:

Someone who does NOT experience sexual attraction (or is NOT SURE if they experience sexual attraction), but has a strong preference for romantic and sensual activities (kissing, cuddling, dates, hand holding, etc.) over sexual activities when it comes to relationships.

-Vasilisa

so im demisexual and im afraid my boyfriend might be fraysexual- he was attracted to me when we first met and wanted to have sex, but i haven’t wanted to until now (we’ve been dating a month) and he’s completely uninterested!

Ahh, that’s really unfortunate anon. I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope it works out for you, but sometimes people just don’t have compatible orientations. You should definitely talk with your boyfriend about the situation before making any big decisions. Maybe talk to him about the possibility of being a-spec, seeing as you are yourself. Hope it turns out okay! 🙂

Hello when-planets-collide! There is actaully a term called Paro~!

Paro~ is described as when you are a multisexual person who experiences different methods of attraction to different genders.

In your case you experience attraction to men in a non- a spec way, while being attracted to women in a demisexual way.

I hope this helps!

Hey everyone 💖

I just wanted to take a moment to say if you have an unusual/rare/new LGBT/mogai terminology, and people give you shit for it, ignore them.

You are the only one who can say “yes this fits” or “no, this doesn’t fit me”. If you need to craft a new term because the current terminology doesn’t fit your own sense of self, do it.

You are still loved and deserve all the respect in the world. People are always going to push back against newer or unusual terminology in the lgbt/MOGAI community.

I just wanted to make this post to spread love and the fact that I’m currently going through a rough patch myself with figuring out how to describe my own experience with my sexual orientation.

-Vasilisa

This term is a more specific version of unthenalsexual. This term is NOT an excuse to not see professional help if you’re experiencing negative physical and/or mental health symptoms. If this is negatively interferring with your day-to-tday life, please seek out the proper professional.

Questioning is not a term these people feel comfortable with. One reason could be that it feels too “superficial”. Another reason could be that they feel like questioning is a “transitioning” term.

Byumasexual could easily be connected to caedosexual (believing trauma made you no longer experience sexual attraction), implasexual (Someone who feels they are never quite sure of their sexual orientation due to self doubt or anxiety), or pomosexual (believing there is no current term within the LGBT/MOGAI community that fits you, but there might be in the future).

This term was created by combining a greek word with an old norse word. It’s pronounced “bee-you-ma-sexual”. The colors were based on the ideas of “trauma”, “{re}birth”, and “sexuality”.

This flag was made as a simplified version of the Byumasexual flag since the initial design could be difficult to create into pride gear

Hello Followers

As some of you know, we recently coined a new term called bambisexual (when someone prefers sensual acts over sexual acts). There has been some discourse and I wanted to help bring that down.

Although bamisexual will still be available, I believe Fawnsexual will be a better alternative.

As for an opposite, some terms have been suggested, including thumpersexual, bunnysexual, bambisensual, and fawnsensual.

There is also a gay/masc version called Faline gay.

Please let me know if this is okay for everyone to tune down the discourse. THANK YOU!

Mod Alec

Omnilarumansy: believing you experience all forms of attraction (sensual, romantic, aesthetic, etc.) EXCEPT romantic attraction. This could be reasons such as: trauma, believing you just don’t have romantic attraction for others, you find the concept of romantic attraction confusing, etc. This is an identity term, not so much a specific attraction term.Pronounced: omni-la-room-an-see.

A person asked about this term on the sexual-equivalent of this term.

Hello Anon!

There isn’t a term for this yet, at least not that I know of. Would you like to coin one?

Mod Alec

Byumasexual: A sexual orientation term for those who experienced some kind of trauma during the “awakening” of their sexual attractoin/orientation (for example: when one first starts to date or gets curious about their own sexual orientation). -Vasilisa

Caedoquoisexual: Believing that you once had sexual attraction but due to some kind of trauma, the idea/concept of sexual attraction is now beyond your grasp. You often feel “lost” in regards to the concept of sexual attraction and are unsure of how to apply the concept to yourself.

Pronounced “kay-doe-qu-oh-sexual”

-Vasilisa

Hello Anon!

I would say you are Grey aromantic or possibly arospike. I would also say you are asexual, for your sexual orientation. And for your relationship status, you could consider Agamy (A state of not engaging in relationships or marriage.)

I hope this helps anon!

Mod Alec

Omnilajuns: believing you experience all forms of attraction (sensual, romantic, aesthetic, etc.) EXCEPT sexual attraction. This could be reasons such as: trauma, believing you just don’t have sexual attraction for others, you find the concept of sexual attraction confusing, etc. This is an identity term, not so much a specific attraction term.

Pronounced: omni-la-june-s

Hello Anon!

I would say though that you could be bigender between those two genders. If that term is not comfotable for you though, come back and we will try again!

Hello Anon!

Faline Gay seems to be an amazing term to fit!

I will have you (and everyone else) know that I am coming up with alternative terms for bambisexual, due to the discourse we have had the last few days.

I do love the term though!

Mod Alec

Hello Anon! There might be a term that you could use and possibly coin. Reciprospike (~spike means to not experience attraction but all of a sudden have it “spike up” and the plummet back down) seems like a good fit due to you saying there were a few exceptions. You could also use reciproflux, (~flux means to feel your orientation some days than others) which could also describe what yo are feeling. Another word is reciproflexible (which means that you have some expections to your orientation). I believe the last one would be the best fit but this is all up to you!

I hope this helps!

Mod Alec

Unthenalsexual: Due to past relationship trauma, unthenalsexuals are people who are completely unsure of what their SEXUAL orientation is. They might have “figured out” their other types of attraction (romantic, sensual, etc.) but due to their relationship trauma in the past, they are completely unsure of their SEXUAL orientation. They might have a “basic” understanding (for example: “I know I am not straight”) but beyond that, that feel completely “lost”in regards to their SEXUAL orientation. If a person asks them to define sexual attraction, they might just shrug their shoulders, not knowing how to apply the idea of “sexual attraction” to themselves (or know how to define it, period).

People who identify as unthenalsexual do NOT feel comfortable with the term “questioning”.

It is pronounced “un-then-al-sex-oo-al”. The flag colors are base don the idea of “confusion” and being “lost”. The term combines the prefix “un” with the greek language.

I included two flags (one is the original flag and the other, smaller flag is a 1.5 version) so people have a choice when creating PRIDE gear for this orientation, since it’s often easier to work with a 4 color palette.

-Vasilisa

Femkalosmin: being sexually attracted to women but willing to engage in sex acts with men (despite minimal or no sexual attraction towards men themselves) for reasons such as pleasure, bonding, or trying to make a baby. Ecogender- A gender that is defined by one’s relationship to their local ecology as a human rather than to humans’ interactions with each other.

The colors of the flags represent nature in its basic colors, brown for earth, green for flora, light blue for water, and deep blue for the sky. The circle represents a nonbinary gender!

Survey Into Gender And Sexuality Experiences

genderandsexualityexperience:

In an attempt to develop some concept of the populations, numbers, and correlations of certain belief patterns in online LGBTQ+ spaces, I have drafted this semi-formal survey.

It is not associated with any academic institution or data collection group. Simply a personal project. As such, it has not been reviewed by the APA or any other formal review groups.

It is extremely long, and will take around 20-30 minutes to complete.

All questions excepting the first two demographics questions are completely optional, so if you do not feel confident in your ability to answer a question, please skip it, or mark it as “blank.”

If possible, please also pass this survey along to others.

If you have questions regarding the survey, or the data collected by it, please send those questions to the ask system on this blog.

All responses are anonymous. The “sign in” feature is to prevent people from spamming the form with duplicate submissions.

You are able to edit your responses after submission, in the event that you wish to change the way you answered a question or questions.

If you wish to take the survey, click here.

Summaries and cleaned raw data from the survey results will be posted on this blog at 100, 250, and 500 respondents, and every additional 500 respondents after that.

Cleaned raw data in public releases includes the full text of any text input.

The survey will be closed in one year (August 1st, 2018), or if no new responses have been added for three months (90 days).

We got a message about “stealing flag scraps” from pride-flags. I just want to post this screenshot of one of the flag scraps to show that the DA pride-flags does not care if the flags are claimed for different sexualities or gender identities. They just wanna be aware that the flags have been claimed. This is the same caption on all flag scraps. People have commented on the different flag scraps with a link to the ones that have been used on their DA.

The flag scraps that are used are specifically pointed out to have been made by pride-flags on DA . We do not claim to have made said flags.
