is there a label for people whose sexual attraction fluctuates between bi and pan?

Here are some that may fit you! šŸ™‚

Panbi-/Bipan-: identifying as bisexual & pansexual, as if all of their definitions fit you or you’re a mix of both, or fluctuating between pansexual and bisexual identities.

Duo-:Ā having two or more well defined orientations that you switch between.

Or you could just say you have a Fluid orientation. Depends on how specific you want to be.

Hope that helps!

How antigenders work?

leptrois:

Antigender means opposite gender. Many people assume male and female are opposite genders of each other, there’s a discussion about it. For the binary hegemony, antigirls are just boys and antiboys are just girls, but had they think about girlboys and antiboygirls?

Many enbies and pluralians don’t consider binary genders as opposed of each other, but some of them do. Let’s forget and think about abinary spectrum, not all abinaries are opposed to gender binarity (as in unbinary, negabinary and antibinary), some of them are just nonbinary (as in not binary). What could be considered as binary opposition/dissidence? Apothibinary (binary-repulsed abinarity) for example, could be considered as negabinary, but this isn’t inherently negabinarity.

Some examples, with eugenders, nongenders, zerogenders and achiralgenders in mind:

  • A maverique individual who does not mind people assuming fen is neutrois, even though fen isn’t, but fen feels distressful when people assume fen is a guy. So fen could be labeled as apothiboy/apothiguy or antiguy nonneutrois eumaverique;
  • A pluralian woman that isn’t a man but does not mind being grouped with men. This woman could be considered achiralgirl or eugirl nonboy;
  • A genderfluid nonbinary female, when sy is a girl sy is antienby, but when sy is an enby sy is antigirl. So this person would be zerogirlby.

Obviously these experiences aren’t universal, some people don’t have antigenders nor comgenders. In leptive spectrums and gender math, antigenders are considered negative-genders (negatrois) & eugenders positive-genders (positrois). Nulltrois (gender nullity) encompasses a-genders, neugenders and nongenders (and some ambivalent-genders, such as zerogenders, but this is more ambitrois). But -trois implies three, as in outrogenders (abinary other-genders) and aliagenders (third-genders), so not all people could be considered leptrois.

Reminder that gender negativity isn’t gender dysphoria, gender positivity isn’t euphoria nor gender neutrality paraphoria/adphoria. These things aren’t the same. Some people may feel gender dysphoric when confused with their antigenders, but this isn’t universal either.

Do you know of any terms for a gender that is defined by the user’s connection to feminine expression without the gender experience being feminine in any way? That’s the best way I can describe it and if you could find any similar terms, that would be really helpful too.

I don’t think there is yet! A gender that isn’t feminine would be:

Nofingender: umbrella term for all genders that are not feminine in nature.

So you could say Feminine Nofingender, but if you’re looking for a single term then you’re welcome to coin one! šŸ˜€

Do you know if there’s a term for being nonbinary/xenogenders and liking only men/masculine presenting people? But also like, not being 100% sure?

I don’t think there’s a single term that encompasses all of that yet, so I’ll list some possibilities that already exist but you’re welcome to coin something if nothing fits!

So you could nblm (nonbinary-love-men), also known as Viramoric or Toric. Or xelm (xenogender-love-men).

Or a non-specific attraction to men like Ma-/Man-/Masc-/Andro-. And attraction to masuline-presenting people is Mascu-.

If you’re not sure, Questioning is always an option! And you can always combine terms, ex: Questioning Mascu- NBLM.

Hope that helps!

So I’m questioning my gender. I’ve been sorta IDing as genderfluid but I’ve noticed now I’m more usually male or agender. I don’t think I’ll feel comfortable IDing 100% as male, but I’ve heard of some other genders such as demiguy and genderflux..?

Hi there! So first off, you can be genderfluid and only be fluid between male and agender. Being genderfluid doesn’t just mean to be fluid between male and female, just that you’re fluid between any different genders.Ā

But! If you feel like it’s more of a static combination of being a boy and agender, then you could use demiguy. That just means that you’re partly a guy and partly some other gender (or lack thereof).

If you want to be more specific, there are also identities such as:

Boyflux: a gender identity in which a person can feel mostly or completely male most of the time but experiences varying degrees of male identity. For example, one could feel 0% (agender), 50% (demiboy), 100% (comboy), or anything in between like pixelboy, magiboy, paraboy or libramasculine. The intensity can fluctuate over any period of time.

Bxy (pronounced like boy-x): A gender that is both boy and agender/no gender. You can be a boy and agender/no gender at the same time, go between them, or fluctuate between feeling male and not feeling gender.

As for Genderflux, itĀ refers to a shift in gender intensity. It can also be thought of as genderfluidity between agender and some other gender. So, whereas with genderfluid it might be visually thought of as going from different colors, genderflux would be more like going from a various brightness levels for a light. Boyflux (and those like it) and more specific versions of this.

Hope that helps!

How do I know if I’m solarian or a demiboy or something in the celestarian system? I definitely feel masculine, but not entirely ftm. I don’t feel feminine in any way, though. The best way to describe it is “male, nonbinary, and something shiny and spacey”

So most terms aren’t actually mutually exclusive. So Solarian just means you’re male-aligned, right? Well, anyone of any non-binary gender can be male-aligned, since that’s an alignment and not a gender itself.

Now Demiboy means you’re partly a boy and partly something else. And from the celestial system, there’sĀ Juparian, which is a nonbinary gender that is linked to softer celestial masculine energy. It is never hyper masculine and it’s not male-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is juparian can feel different amounts of masculine energy at different times.

So perhaps you’re partly a boy and partly Juparian? Or maybe part boy and part some other space gender? It’s very possible that you could be bigender or multigender, as there are multiple different space-related genders and multiple different masculine genders.Ā

But to directly answer your initial question: you don’t have to choose, because you might be male-aligned nonbinary person who is part boy and part juparian. If you only feel masculine but not really any part a man, then maybe just genders related to masculinity would work better. As well as a space-related gender. So perhaps look into those and try and determine if you feel partly like a boy/man or just masculine.

Hope that helps!

I’m trying to due some research online about what my gender may be, but all I can find online are common terms like demigender, polygender, etc. but non of those fit me. My gender is sort of dependent of who I’m around. Like, if I’m around a bunch of guys I’m not close with, I’m a girl. But if I’m with my best guy friends, I’m one of the guys. If I’m with girls I’m not close with, I’m androgynous. If I’m with girls I’m close with, I’m a guy. I’m so confused. I don’t think I’m genderfluid/flux.

Hi! I’ll list off some of the genders that sound like that and if none of these fit you’re always welcome to coin your own term. šŸ˜€

Condigender: A gender that is only felt under specific circumstances. can apply to any existing gender such as girl, boy, non-binary, etc. for example, a condigirl may only feel like a girl during specific times or with specific people, a condiboy may only feel like a boy during specific times or with specific people, so on.

Mutogender: A subset of genderfluid; describes when your gender changes depending on your situation (such as location or people surrounding them).

Mirrorgender: A gender that changes to fit the people you’re around.

Ludogender: A gender which has a core, but the individual ā€œtries onā€ different genders because they are mirroring another individual.

Amicagender: A gender that changes depending on which friend you’re with at the moment.

Amaregender: A gender that changes depending on who you’re in love with.

Amorgender or Erogender (or Filkogender, when regarding QPRs): When your gender changes whilst in the presence of an individual to whom you have developed a deep connection for. This could be a romantic attraction, platonic connection, a spiritual affinity or anything similar. For example: An amorboy would identify as male only to someone they felt connected too.

Copygender: A fluid gender identity that mimics the gender of someone the person has strong feelings for.

Chamgender: When your gender identity changes to match the gender or perceived gender of whomever you’re with at the time.

Reflectigender: A gender that reflects that of the identifier’s romantic/platonic/social interest.Ā

Is there a flag or term for when someone feels attraction (of the romantic and sexual kind) to someone until they grow bored of them? Or a flag/term for people who only feel attraction to someone for a brief period before the feelings fade away?

There are a couple that might fit!

Akoi-/Lith-: Feeling attraction, but having no desire to have interactions or have feelings reciprocated OR A person who feels a particular kind of attraction, which fades if it is reciprocated or if they enter a relationship with the person they are attracted to.

Fray-/Ignota-: an orientation where the individual feels attraction to someone after meeting, although the attraction fades as the emotional bond strengthens.

thisiswhatbinarismis:

Non-binary Exclusionary Trans Activist (NETA)

There’s a term I’ve been thinking about for a while now that I believe is heavily needed and I believe it’s needed because of the vast amount of binary trans people who ignore, dismiss the struggles and oppression that non-binary people face or just flat out deny that we exist.

I call these trans people non-binary exclusionary trans activists or NETA for short.

I know quite a few trans people are anti-feminist so, to include those who don’t identify as a feminist I used the word activist instead.

These people are, in short, trans activists who exclude non-binary people from their fight.

The long answer is, these people are those who deny that we exist, that we are trans, that we face oppression, not only because we’re trans, but because we exist out of gender binary. We don’t conform to society’s typical man/woman binary and that is why we face struggles. If you do any of this then you are a NETA.

It is wrong to exclude us from the fight, we exist and we need support and help just as much as binary trans people. To fight for some and not all will always be wrong.

-Fy

Hi! This isn’t really a request but just spreading some news. Have you heard that term going around? non-binary exclusionary trans activist? It was coined by thisiswhatbinarismis, it’s basically a term for binary trans people who exclude non-binary when fighting for trans rights or just deny we exist. I just thought I’d share it I honestly think it’s a needed word.

You’re absolutely right, that is definitely a needed word. Thank you very much for sharing this information!

Paradoxgender Pride Flag

image

[Image: a 7-striped horizontal flag with stripes in descending order: black, dark grey, grey, white, light pink, light orange, light yellow.]

Paradoxgender: feeling as if you’re all the genders you could possibly be, but none at the same time. It’s impossible to explain, so is therefore a paradox, and unique with everyone who uses it.Ā

Similar to schrodipangender/panschrodigender, pangenderdox/pandox, pxngender/apangender and paradoxigender.Ā

AP

I coined a gender; Paradoxgender or Paradox for short. It’s where you feel as if you’re all the genders, but none at the same time. It’s impossible to explain. That’s why I refer to it as a paradox. It’s unique with everyone who uses it. I wanted to make my own flag, but I had no idea where to start. Is it possible that you could make a flag for me? It’s fine if you don’t want to! I was just curious.

Well, there’s already Paradoxigender and Genderdox, but the name and gender description do sound different enough to warrant separate terminology and flag, since they are:

Paridoxigender: A gender that has qualities that paradox itself. For example feeling agender but masculine or feminine, or feeling like a gender but not like that gender at the same time.

Genderdox: Multiple genders and nothing/genderless at the same time summed up into one, as if a paradox.

Since Paradoxgender specifies being all genders (you could possibly be) and none at the same time, while Genderdox says its only many genders (so not necessarily all) and Paradoxigender just says masculine or feminine.

So I’ll go ahead and add it to the request list. šŸ™‚

hi!! i was wondering if u have any labels tht would fit me ! im a girl but i feel uncomfortable being viewed as a girl by men, and i like they pronouns. i like other girls and female-aligned nb people but i hardly develop crushes or sexual attraction. i like the idea of relationships but every time i’ve been in one there just hasn’t been much connection on my part. same w/ sexual attraction – i never feel very connected to others that way. thank u!!

Hello! Okay, so let’s break this down.

So for your gender… if you say you’re a girl, then it sounds like that’s what you are. Anyone of any gender can use they pronouns, so that’s not an issue. I don’t currently know of any genders that have to do with how you’re viewed by one gender and not others. But if you think that means you’re not always a girl, even under some circumstances, then you may be some sort of fluid gender? That’s not really for me to say, though, I’m just throwing out the possibility.Ā

Okay, so your orientation… it sounds like you don’t feel sexual or romantic attraction? So then you may be aroace, or at least somewhere on the asexual and aromantic spectrums. But, although you may not feel sexual or romantic attraction, you still feel some sort of attraction to girls and female-aligned people. My next step, if I were you, would be to try and pin down what you think you’re feeling here. Is this platonic attraction? Sensual attraction? Do you just think they’re more aesthetically pleasing (aesthetic attraction)? There are many other forms of attraction it could be.Ā

So I would look more into fluid gender identity and attractional aroace blogs (including those related to queerplatonic relationships) and see if any of these fit you!

Hope that helps!

Is there a Prosomasculine and a Prosofeminine for Prosogender? If so what are their flags?

I don’t think there is yet, but I’ll add them to the request list! So I’m guessing the definitions would then be:Ā

Prosomasculine: A label for when you are unable to recognize your gender(s), but you know it is masculine in some way. You may or may not be able to recognize other people’s genders, and you may or may not be able to recognize certain parts of your gender(s) other than being masculine. This label functions as both a standalone gender and a placeholder.Ā

Prosofeminine: A label for when you are unable to recognize your gender(s), but you know it is feminine in some way. You may or may not be able to recognize other people’s genders, and you may or may not be able to recognize certain parts of your gender(s) other than being feminine. This label functions as both a standalone gender and a placeholder.

C*ntb*y

A transphobic slur used to sexualize and objectify trans men, some trans men have decided to reclaim the term, or identify their gender as/with this word. Those who identify with the slur do not do so in a sexual manner or as a kink. This term is exclusive to trans men, or trans male-aligned/masculine individuals.

WARNING: Do NOT use this slur for ANYBODY, unless they tell you that you can. This word IS a slur, so others will use it as such – do not be disrespectful to those who do not like and want to avoid this word.Ā

Pink is for sex workers who are trans men, who may use this slur as an identifier.

Yellow is for intersex people of any kind, who choose to identify by this term.

White stands for identifying one’s sex as something opposite of what it is typically associated with. (Penis + testes =Ā ā€œMale,ā€ while vagina + ovaries =Ā ā€œFemale.ā€ White stands for those who feel their genitals fall underĀ ā€œMale,ā€ notĀ ā€œFemaleā€ or any other scientific or social sex designation.)

The triangle is for ā€˜cutting away’ the female identity from one’s gender and natal sex. (Not literally or physically.) It’s being transgender, but nontraditionally.

Green is for nonbinary people who choose to identify with this word, who are at least partially male. (Demiboy, half-binary, bigender, genderfluid, agender…)

Purple is for any trans man who presents any way besides masculinely, but is still male-adjacent.Ā

(Male-adjacent should be used, for this post, to stand forĀ ā€œNot cis male, but still binary male.ā€ Masculine should be used, for this post, to stand forĀ ā€œmasculine gender presentation and concept,ā€ not the same as male gender/sex.)

Note: This term was coined with intention for those trans men who either A. Identify their natal sex (AFAB, or intersex) as male, against what society and even science mayĀ ā€˜assign’ their sex to be. (This isn’t the same as saying parts = gender, because in this situation, the person’s gender is what affects how they feel about their genitals, not the other way around.) B. Identify their natal sex as importantly as their gender. (For some, these two are interlinked and cannot be separated, much in the same way that it is for cis people.) C. Do not have bottom dysphoria, but do experience dysphoria elsewhere. D. Are sex workers, or formerly was bullied or verbally abused as targets, using this word, but wish to claim it.Ā

This word IS NOT for kinksters or transphobes. Do not use this word for someone if it makes them uncomfortable at all. Do not use this word to fetishize (trans men are not your fetish). This is meant for those who nonsexually identify with this slur, who feel it best fits them, or who wish to reclaim it from their oppressors.Ā

No, you do not have to be AFAB to use this, but you cannot be AMAB.

Edit: Forgot the pastel flag for softer colors.

image

@arco-pluris @beyond-mogai-pride-flags @traggodyke

Added note: AMAB trans who wish only for a vaginoplasty also qualify. But those who desire or wish to keep their AMAB genitals cannot use this.

Lemonadecoric? Is this a thing if not what’s the closest to it?

Looking up lemonadecore doesn’t bring up anything, but not all xenogenders related to some sort of aesthetic are going to have its own specific -core label. So if you’re looking for a gender that’s just somehow related to lemonade, perhaps you could coin a term like Lemonadic? Lemonadian? Something like that. What do you think? šŸ™‚

Heyy Is there a term for Daederic but is a bit more fluffy, in a way? Like you feel demonic and/or unholy but you also feel fluffy, soft, and/or unholy and/or demonic but not as strongly as the average Daederic?

I don’t think there’s anything yet that’s quite like what you’re describing. The closest I could find are:

Swufegender: A gender that seems cute and innocent on the outside, but is dark and ruthless on the inside; a deceptively sweet gender. Comes from the roots of ā€œsweetā€ and ā€œfearā€.

If these aren’t what you’re looking for, you’re welcome to coin something!

Hi me again sorry,I couldnt find anything for Honeycoric/Honeycore aside from my question and the flag that youve posted. I tried looking through and just looking up core and coric,so this is what I got from just your response and my thougts and correct me if Im wrong.Honeycore/Honeycoric is a gender related to honey(and then with what you said about them being in aesthetic groups)or related to honey aesthetically? Im sure I understand exactly what you mean when you say that, if wrong correct me

Hi again! No problem at all, but I’m not sure why you’re having a problem looking up honeycore on Tumblr. There are lots of blogs for it. But yes! Sort of. Essentially it is a gender related to honey, or things related to honey. And these things are like a visual representation of how a honeycoric person feels their gender is.Ā

Hello! I was wondering what Honeycore/Honeycoric means? I don’t want to assume what it means and then be wrong. Thank you~

Hi! So -coric genders are recently coined xenogenders that are related to different groups of aesthetics with a -core suffix. Honeycore is just one of these. So if you look up honeycore in the search bar there in the top left corner, you’ll essentially see a visual representation of the closest thing that a honeycoric person would feel their gender is.Ā

Hope that helps!Ā

hey, I’m just wondering what the difference between otherkin, therian, and hearted is. I am therian, and I’ve sometimes used the terms therian and otherkin interchangeably but I’m not familiar with hearted.

So therian is only for those that identify as a non-human animal, while otherkin can encompass that as well as identifying as mythological beings such as elves, dragons, fairies, etc.Ā

Now being otherheartedĀ means that you have a strong fundamental connection with something as opposed to identifying as that something (which is otherkin). So if you’re wolfhearted, that means you have a strong spiritual connection to wolves, but you don’t identify as a wolf. But you would identify as a wolf if you are wolfkin.Ā

Hope that helps!

Hey! My friend is currently looking for an angel related genders? Thank u!

Hi! The closest term would be:

Angeligender: an angel gender. It’s a gender found only among angels that is hard to describe to non-angels. The ā€œgenderā€ suffix can be replaced with boy, girl, or nb as in saying that that is the closest human gender you identify with.

There is also:

Seraphgender: A gender that feels very holy and sacred as well as powerful and important but not as strong as a deity. Mainly intended for Seraphkin but can be used by anyone.

Virtugender: A gender that is etherial and beautiful, but close to sin. Intended for Virtue rank angelkin, but not required.

Seraphaeic: A xenogender that feels holy and angelic. It has multiple facets, as if it has multiple ā€œwingsā€. This gender can be used by anyone, but was created with angelkin in mind.

Hope that helps!

Is there any sort of wolf or bear or something for pan people? (I am female, if that helps)

Hi there! Mod AP just recently listed some presentation terms, and here are the ones for pan- individuals:

Mech/Mechanic: masculine pan fem-aligned/girl.
Fauna: androgynous pan girl-aligned/female.
Flora: feminine pan woman-aligned/woman.

I don’t know of any other similar terms, so you’re welcome to coin something if none of these are what you’re looking for. šŸ™‚

Voicefluid and Phonogender flags requested by anon.

Voicefluid – when the gender of your voice changes

Phonogender – gender identity connected/linked/tied to your voice

Stripe Meanings:

For the voicefluid flag, I directly took all of the colors from this image (save for the white) and mixed them with the colors of the genderfluid flag.

For the phonogender flag, I once again used violet, pink, white, grey, brown, and blue to represent different sound spectra (tweaked a bit from the original image), then added the red from the comgender flag. The bright blue is a color associated with the throat, and therefore the voice; so, together, these stripes basically translate to ā€œhaving a gender associated with the throat/voice.ā€

If you have any problems with either of these flag designs, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.šŸ¦‹

Stripe Meanings:

The dark grey on the outer edges of the flag symbolize the ā€œwallsā€ of ones mind, where the bright red represents the ā€œwelling upā€ of attraction (and the lighter shade represents how it may fluctuate in intensity). As the black of the asexual flag represents a lack of attractions, so the black of the cogitari flag stands for a lack of any desire to act on one’s attractions.

Question; why do some of the flags look good and the others look like you just didn’t put much thought into it? Like I enjoy all your content and everything but sometimes flags can look like random colors thrown together I swear I don’t want to be rude but I just want to know what happens behind the scenes

I guess that depends on a number of factors. Who made the flag, for example. If you specifically have complaints about flags that I (Fy) have made, I can tell you that I usually start by finding colors related to whatever it is I’m looking for. So for otherkin/fictionkin flags, I’ll look for pictures of the character or creature and pick colors from that. If its a gender or sexuality, I start getting a little more broad and look more for different concepts. What does the gender or sexuality have to do with? Are there any colors related to that? Sometimes these colors might not look good together.Ā

Maybe you’re likeĀ ā€œWow, that Honeycoric flag looks niceā€ because its a bunch of nice yellows slowly going into reds and browns towards the ends.Ā  And then maybe you’re likeĀ ā€œThe Extraterrgender flags look weird, those soft blue and pink lines clash next to the dark greensā€ and yeah, you’d probably be right. But those colors are related to extraterrestrial/alien life, and they’re gonna clash with the typical masculine and feminine pink and blue.

Also, there are so many flags now and you can’t make a flag look like another flag. So you might add some more line, change up the order of the colors.Ā

As I like to say a lot, the hardest part about making a flag is figuring out how to make it look. And I rarely ever get anyone giving me any hint about what they want it to look like, so I’m just diving in from scratch almost everytime.

If you’d like to make an alternate flag for any of the ones we’ve made (or someone else made!) you’re welcome to submit one. šŸ™‚

Hey @silverblogstuff, here’s a new term coined for ya!

-Fy

So, I’ve been doing a lot of work on my shit and I think I’ve managed to make a much nicer account. I want to bring communities together instead of breaking them apart. So I’ve built my new stuff on curiosity rather than yanno, mockery (ig). I even have an anonymous helper to make sure I’m not stepping out of line. So uh my request is really just to take me off all the blocklists? I sent this here bc you guys have a lot of influence. I just wanna be able to discuss with people. So yeah,, – Peace

Hey Peace. I think you may be over-exaggerating ourĀ ā€œinfluenceā€, but I’ll still post this in case you or anyone else wants to see it.

I’m genuinely glad to hear that you’re doing better. It’s not easy to change one’s mindset. That being said, I can understand why people would still not want to unblock you. Now, I don’t use blocklists. I don’t know what blocklists you’re on. I blocked you from this blog specifically because you seemed to only be focused on mockery, and your posts mocking our flags would bring in other people who would just mock and hate the flags that other people posted here. Which I’m not okay with.

Now, since I only have control over my own blog here, I could unblock you. But I’m still not really convinced that that’s a good idea. See, even if you may have somewhat better intentions, many of the blogs you still interact with, and that interact with you, do not. And like I said when I started the block policy almost a year ago, I can handle being mocked. I’m used to it by now. But many of our followers and fellow flag makers like to submit or link us to flags they’ve made for more people to see. And I’m partially responsible for having had lack blocking policies that made it easy for horrible people to just dogpile onto these posts, some that were made by minors. It ended up being a circlejerk of hate in the comments instead of what I was hoping would be legitimate discussion.Ā

This is getting a bit long, so I’ll finish up here by saying I’ll post this and other people can decide whether they want to unblock you or not. And I hope you continue doing well.

are there any flags that are directly related to someone’s fickin life? i’m not attracted to anyone who’s outside of my kin reality and idk if there are any flags for that… i just want something to use to be able to attach it to my kin identity! (i’m mlm btw if that changes anything!) thank you and sorry if this has been asked before!

The closest would beĀ Alius-: An orientation for fictionkin, for those who experience attraction towards fictional characters from their source, exclusively or not. This does not mean attraction to people who have a kintype from the same source, rather the character themself.

There is alsoĀ

Duplus-:Ā attraction towards people who have the same kin type as yourself.

Kin-: attraction to specific kintypes, for example: catkinsexual. Although some have used it as overall attraction to otherkin, similar to alloda-.

Alloda-: attraction to otherkin or otherwise non-human identifying Homo sapiens. Any prefix can be put over it, so for example: panallodasexual (so any pride flag can be put on the sides). Meant to be those who also identify as non-human.

If none of these work for you, you’re welcome to coin something!

what would you call a gender that changes with the music you listen to? i notice sometimes i feel more masculine with certain songs and vice versa

These are the only current genders I’ve found relating to those:

Genderartio: a xenogender related to whales. meant for whalekin but can be used for anyone

Genderhippocamp: a xenogender related to sea horses.

You’re welcome to coin something new if none of these work!

is there a sexuality for when you’re attracted to girls you’re a nb fem-aligned lesbian, but when attracted to men a nb masc-aligned gay?

There are a couple of options!

Novo-: An orientation that changes along with one’s gender. For use by individuals with fluid genders. Defining one’s particular shifts in orientation (ie what orientations correspond to the genders one experiences) is an option, but is not required.

Omnigay: Genderfluid, with one’s attraction to other genders changing with one’s gender so that the individual is always attracted to the same, or similar, gender.

There is also Omnigai, which is similar to Omnigay but the person is always gai for the gender of their attraction as their gender changes.Ā

If none of those work for you, you’re welcome to coin something!

Edit: You could also use omnisymmaic, which I just made a flag for.

Could you help me here. I need to find a term for a gender related to color. I just recently joined the mogai community and I don’t know too much.

No worries, I’ll list some that I know of for you. šŸ™‚

Colorgender: A gender associated with one or more colors and the feelings, hues, emotions, and/or objects associated with that color. Can be used like pinkgender, violetgender, etc.

Darkgender: A type of colorgender; a gender that can be described with the absence of all color.

Lightgender: A type of colorgender; a gender that can be described by the presence of all colors at once.

Palettegender: Related to colorgender; having multiple colors or the feelings associated with them reflect your gender identity, creating a ā€œgender paletteā€.

Prismagender: A type of colorgender; a gender that can be described with all colors of the rainbow.

Technigender: A type of colorgender; a gender that can be described by multiple, but not all, colors.

Chromagender: A gender where you relate to the colors of a flag and therefore adopt the term.

Colorqueer:Ā Whether it be your gender or orientation, the common terms just don’t describe it well enough. Colorqueer is the act of associating your gender/orientation with colors; loud, soft, dark, light, vibrant, desaturated, etc. The whole rainbow and beyond is your playground and your colors might change depending on how you feel.

Hope that helps you find what you’re looking for!

Thank you for the gender terms! My friend and I looked over them but couldn’t find the right one so we figured we should coin it, so thank you so much for helping and we’d like to coin the term Extraterrgender -Feeling that you are, in fact, some sort of celestial body, planet, asteroid, meteor, constellation, or something undescribable that is in the universe or something yet to be found out in space, aka something extraterrestrial Along with Extraterrmasculine and Extraterrfeminine :)

No problem! New terms!Ā

Hey, so is there a gender term feeling like you’re a celestial body (other than a star) such as a constellation, planet, asteroid, meteor, or just some other celestial body that you can’t explain or that has yet to be discovered?

I’ll list off some!

Astergender: a gender that feels bright and celestial.

Astralgender: A gender that feels connected to space.

Astralgendervoid: A nonbinary gender that is connected to space, stars, and the universe as a whole. This gender feels vaguely masculine in nature and has ties to both the feeling of genderless-ness and having indescribable ties to masculinity in a vague sense.

Astrogender: amplusgender(s) [fluid/flux/liquid] for when gender spectrum is seen from a galactic perspective; feeling like an astronaut navigating through potential genders that could be inhabited or not; identifying with anything involving space, stars, planets, etc.

Caelgender: A gender which shares qualities with outer space or has the aesthetic of space, stars, nebulae, cosmos, etc.

Celestialgender: A gender that is related to a planet, celestial body, or astronomical object in our solar system. See also: planetgender(s) and moongender.

Celestialgendervoid: A nonbinary gender that is connected to space, stars, and the universe as a whole. This gender feels vaguely feminine in nature and has ties to both the feeling of genderless-ness and having indescribable ties to femininity in a vague sense.

Constellgender: where your gender fluctuates based on what constellation is most visible at that time.

Galaxiegender: A nonbinary gender that is vast and mysterious like the galaxy. Reserved for people who are both neurodivergent and spacekin/kin with anything related to space.

Gendercosm: A gender identity encompassing and surpassing the limits of the earth/society, but doesn’t incorporate existing genders from society; a gender identity so grand and huge it cannot be explained by words. Not to be confused with cosmicgender.

Genderspace/Spacegender: an umbrella term for genders that are influenced or related to different parts of space, such as genderstar, gendergalaxy, genderconstallation, gendermoon, genderplanet, etc. the ending could be replaced with specific bodies for even more specific terms, like gendermars or gendercallisto.

Spacegendervoid: A nonbinary gender that is connected to space, stars, and the universe as a whole. This gender feels vaguely unaligned in nature and has ties to the feeling of genderless-ness.

Hope that helps! Feel free to coin something if none of these work for you!

Edit: There’s also:

Quasarian: a xenogender related to quasars, quiet places, candles, lights, heat, etc.

Blazarian: a xenogender related to blazars, rocks, fire, air, water, etc.

Pulsarian: a xenogender related to pulsars, water, earth, ice, snow, cold air, etc

which I forgot because of course I did.

sooo I know what sexual, romantic, sensual, platonic, all that stuff orientations are rite? but like I recently heard about relationship orientation and sociosexual orientation but I don’t know what those are. could you maybe explain? you guys seem to know this kind of stuff.

Sure!

Relationship Orientation: an orientation that describes different types relationships; the main differences between the various relationship orientations can concern the amount of participants in the relationship or the sexual/romantic/etc. norms on which the relationships operate.

Sociosexual orientation: the individual difference in the willingness to engage in sexual activity outside of a committed relationship. Individuals with a more restricted sociosexual orientation are less willing to engage in casual sex. Individuals who have a more unrestricted sociosexual orientation are more willing to have casual sex.

This is not to be confused with the (apparent)Ā sexual orientation which is (apparently) characterized by the eagerness to engage in sexual activity outside of a committed and established relationship.

Hope that helps!

I’m assuming a libido is there, but no intrinsic urge to have s*x w/ a person they’re attracted to. This is someone who experiences strong sexual attraction recognizable as such many ways, but finds it incomprehensibly weird that “sexual attraction -> I want to have sex w/ this person” goes on in people’s heads. someone with no instinct to have sex at all, perhaps no idea how to, & who wouldn’t even imagine sexual attraction as leading to urges for sex without hearing about it from others?

Oh okay! Thank you for the clarification.Ā

So if you’re looking for a term that means ā€œExperiences sexual attraction, but never experiences any resulting sexual desire even as an urge, or they are experienced as widely disconnectedā€, usually one would start looking into Latin prefixes first. So perhaps like using one of the words for desire and attaching a- in front of it. So something like taking the Latin wordĀ ā€œDesideriumā€, which is apparently one of the ways used to say desire, and sayĀ ā€œAdesideriumā€. So then -desiderium would be the orientation label for aĀ ā€œdesire orientationā€, and adesiderium would be theĀ ā€œlack of desireā€.Ā

Using this example, you could then use, as someone who experiences sexual attraction but no desire, allosexual adesiderium.

That’s just an example of one way it could be used, so you’re welcome to come up with a better name for it. Let me know your thoughts on this. šŸ™‚

Can you please make a deogirl one ? I can’t find one anywhere :(

Hi there! You’re in luck, there is already a Deogirl flag. šŸ™‚

hi! would you be willing to make flags for nons*xual age & species/pet regression (NOT ddgl/cgl or petplay)? and then i guess for pet regression others could request versions of different animals? thank u!

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno. Maybe. I’m not against the idea, but that’s something I’d rather ask our followers’ input on, since they’re following it lol

On a side note tho, I could’ve sworn there already are flags for age and/or pet regression? Maybe not yet for specific animals, but general flags.

Yeah, I think this is the age regression flag(s):

And I couldn’t find the pet regression flag I had seen before, but there is a general regression flag:

please make a catgirl pride flag :)

I found this one using an image search:

image

[Image: a 5-striped horizontal flag; large light pink stripe, large light blue stripe, thin pink-purple stripe, large light blue stripe, large light pink stripe. There is a black-outlined white cat face in the middle.]

But I thought there were more, I just can’t seem to find them. Sorry! Hope this works!

Any ideas for an orientation label for this concept? “Experiences sexual attraction, but never experiences any resulting sexual desire (not = sex drive) even as an urge, or they are experienced as widely disconnected.” Since 2008 I’ve felt there really should be a word for “no sexual desire” as separate from “no attraction” and maybe it could be a MOGAI term

That is definitely an important distinction for sure. Would that be different than being an allosexual non-libidoist? Although I may be mistakingĀ ā€œdesireā€ forĀ ā€œdriveā€, which is what a libido is.Ā

Would any a-spec followers like to chime in on this? It would definitely be beneficial to have the ace community’s input on coining something like this.

Okay so i’m an hegelian and i find the weltgeist gender stuff offensive as hell (let me explain). First you can’t just identify as the spirit of the world dude you wouldn’t identify as someone’s god so don’t ?! and secondly it’s cultural appropriation. Like i can’t phrase how problematic this is. We’ve been institutionally decimated by analytical philosophy we don’t need people messing around with such a central concept. Sorry if that sounds mean or invalidating but i’m a bit angry

Hi there! I’m very sorry about that. This isn’t a topic I’m well-versed in, so I can only go by what you and the other anon have told me. The other anon could very well also be Hegelian, I just have no idea.

Ā I only suggested some gender ideas to them, but they still haven’t gotten back to me on that. So if they ever do, hopefully they’ll be able to address your concerns. Otherwise, I’m not pursuing the coining of this person’s gender without their input.

image

There are dodransgender (¾, three-fourths gender) and quartogender (¼, one-fourth gender), but not for ā…“ (one-third) nor ā…” (two-third). I’d suggest tertiogender for 1/3, since quarto– means fourth/quarter in Portuguese, tertio- derives from terƧo (tertius in Latin).

Librisett would also fit this situation I guess. You can also look nanogender and pixelgender (since they are somewhere between hemigender/semigender and (libr)agender/nongender).

There’s owlgender, but that’s another thing. Here are some:

  • Strigigender: owllike gender/gender influenced by owls.Ā

  • Tytogender: barn/bay owllike gender &/or gender influenced by bay/true barn owls.
  • Asiogender: eared owllike gender/gender influenced by eared owls.
  • Bubogender: eagle/horned owllike gender &/or gender influenced by eagle/horned owls.
  • Glaucisgender: pypmy owllike gender/influenced by pygmy owls.
  • Megasigender: screech owllike gender/influenced by screech owls.
  • Mircrathisgender: elf owllike gender/influenced by elf owls.
  • Ninoxgender: hawk owllike gender/influenced by hawk owls.Ā
  • Strixgender: wood owllike gender/influenced by wood owls.
  • Athenegender: burrowing owllike gender/influenced by burrowing owls.

So you can use their prefixes then suffix them as -feminine I guess.

  1. Oakiani: an abinary/nonbinary xenogender related to oak trees.
  2. Oakiano: a masculine-aligned xenogender related to oak trees.Ā
  3. Oakiana: a feminine-aligned xenogender related to oak trees.Ā
  1. Birchini: an abinary/nonbinary gender related to birch trees.
  2. Birchina: a feminine gender related to birch trees.
  3. Birchino: a masculine gender related to birch trees.

There are some other tree-related genders in the links. But sure you can use birchgender/birch-aligned and oakgender/oak-aligned too, because these identities are specified as masc/fem or nb/ab. Phytogender and ouygender are also existing terms. There could be a dendrogender label too.

If this pronoun set isn’t exactly they/their/themself nor he/his/himself, that would be separated from them or just being multipronouns/varipronouns (varying sets of pronouns as in they/his/them/himself, or using both he/they sets, fluctuating as in fluipronouns/fluidpronouns).

Regardlessly, I searched and found some: hey/heir/heirself, hi/hir/hirself, hi/hem/hes/hesself, hie/hir/hirs/hemself and hye/hyer/hyers/hyenself. Note, since I’m not the maker/idealizer of these pronouns. Other ones found on @pronoun-provider: e/eir/eir/eirs/eirself, e/em/e’s/e’s/emself, e/em/es/es/emself, e/em/eir/eirs/emself, e/em/er/ers/emself, e/em/es/emself, e/em/ir/irs/emself, e/im/er/ers/imself, ‘e/’im/’er/’ers/’imself, ei/eim/eir/eirs/eimself, the/thim/thir/thirs/thimself.

I’m not sure who coined based off they/he pronouns.

Is there a term for being attracted to multiple people (not gender) at the same time? I know there’s polyamorous, but I’m not in relationships with multiple people, I’m just attracted to them. If there isn’t one, could I suggest polyattractional? Or polyattracted?

While some people do use polyamorous to also mean that they are or can be attracted to multiple people, I do agree that there is too much confusion there and that there should be seperate terms.Ā

I know there are terms that are for specific ways of attraction, such as Polyamalterous, Polyamsensual, etc. that describeĀ an individual who is capable of having alterous or sensual feelings for more than one individual and would be able to have an alterous or sensual relationship with more than one individual. But I’m not sure if there’s already a term that encompasses any sort of attraction/relationship. If there isn’t, Polyattracted would definitely be a good choice I would think! Or Polyamattracted would be even better.

Does anyone else know if there is already a term like this? I couldn’t find one, but I thought this had been brought up before. I’m just not sure if it had been resolved with a new term being coined or not.

Hi! I need help to find a name and flag for my gender. It’s basically the hegelian Spirit of the World (look for “Weltgeist”if you don’t know what it is). Like the hegelian Spirit my gender is a evolving to become conscious of itself. Also I have a strong feeling that mogai theory is a manifastation of the Spirit and an important step in the history of humankind! Idk what colors could represent the Spirit, but i’d like some blue on the flag bc i’m more masc-aligned. Thanks for your help OwO

Wow, that’s a really interesting gender! I suggest we figure out the name for your gender first before we make a flag. Once we have a name, I can add it to the request list. šŸ™‚

So I would name it something related to what you were describing. So perhaps something Hegelic? Or Hegelgender? Weltgeistic? Weltgeistian? Weltgeistgender? You don’t necessarily have to put -gender at the end, and -ic and -ian are other common suffixes for gender.Ā

If the gender allows you to also feel either somewhat masc or fem, would there be branch-off terms like Hegelgirl or Hegelboy? or Hegelfemme and Hegelmasc? or, Weltgeistgirl/Weltgeistboy and Weltgeistfemme and Weltgeistmasc?Ā

Shoot me another ask with whatever you decide so we can make it official! šŸ˜€

momma-mogai-sphinx:

Overmasc flag requested by anon.

I couldn’t actually find any posts on overmasc as an identity, but I assume it’s the masc equivalent to overfemme, so the flags are similarly structured.

Stripe meanings:

The shades of blue represent masculinity and the varying ways it can be expressed, while the green and yellow respectively represent ā€œothernessā€ and nonbinarity, as well as a complete rejection of femininity with one’s gender expression (which is often depicted in shades of pink, the opposite of yellow-green). The white in the center represents ā€œpureā€ masculinity and a culmination of all things masculine into a singular identity.

If you have any problems with this particular flag design, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.šŸ¦‹
