Nonbin Flag, with and without nonbinary symbol
I’m coining an alt term for enby. Since some nonbinary people feel it sounds too cutesy. But I kind of like the idea of nonbinary nouns. The more, the better.

Color Meanings

  • White: Visibility and Identity / Multiple or All Genders
  • Yellow: Relationship With Oneself / Gender Outside Of the Binary
  • Orange: Joy In Being Yourself / Xenogender
  • Green: Stability / Nonbinary Genders Connected to the Binary
  • Purple: Wisdom / Mix of Manhood & Womanhood or Femininity & Masculinity
  • Black: Solidarity / Lack of Gender

Is nonbin equivalent to (wo)man? Or is it not age specific?

I was thinking equivalent to (wo)man but it doesn’t have to be I guess.

Nonban/enban/enman

Anyways this is such an amazing contemplative flag 👏 – a-p

varioriented-pride:

Variangled | Periangled flags

Vari-angled (or vari-angular): people with differing orientations that are unlimited to just romantic or sexual attractions, applying additionally tertiary forms of attraction. I.e. aroallo grey-aplatonic; biplatonic panro asexual.

Peri-angled (or peri-angular): people with identical orientations, not limited to just romantic or sexual ones, including tertiary attractions; not having any type of crisscrossed orientations. E.g. aplatonic aroace; polysensual polyro.

I asked @official-angledaroace before using -angled (from angled aroace) for these situations. Flags are based on vari-oriented/peri-oriented flags by BMPF. I personally consider my sensual and platonic forms of attraction to be split/varioriented, but that’s a descriptivist point of view, the coinage of -oriented delimited romantic/sexual labels only, perioriented seems to be a norm (periorientism), while both periangular and variangular are orientation variants.

You can use these terms to be standalone identities, useful for non-SAM (folks not using split attraction model) not specifying how they feel, plus semi-SAMreidems & ays.

Orientation Variant Pride Flag

Orientation Variance/Variancy/Nonconforming: not completely/integrally conforming to the societal and cultural ideals or roles of orientation; not being accepted as a member of conformant society due to one’s identity (sexuality/relationship) differing from the one assigned to and expected of them; an umbrella term for orientation identities and expressions that varies/differs the norm.

It’s meant to replace initials like MO and conlangs like unstraight/strain’t & heterodissident. Not to be confused with varioriented. Other labels: variaffectional, variattractional, orientationvariant/orientationvariance, orientationvariancy, orientation inconformist/nonconformist/unconformist, orientation inconformancy/inconformity/nonconformity/nonconformancy, orientation nonconformance/inconformance/unconformance/unconformancy.

Otherworldgender

This is a term I coined myself. Someone who is otherworldgender feels disconnected from the concept of gender due to being otherworldly. Anybody with a otherworldly aspect to them can use it like otherkin, alterhuman or in my case a non human system member.

About a Term I Coined That You Recently Reblogged; “Herrchen” has been changed to “Herrlein”

Hello,

I couldn’t find your ask, so I am sending this as a submission with the intention of updating you on a term that I coined that has found it’s way to your blog. I coined the gender term “Herrchen”, a mia-spec, abinary identity. I made a mistake in translating this term, and have changed the term to “Herrlein”. The coining post has been updated to reflect this change if you would like to repost this term.

Thanks,

Dionysian-Insatiety

No problem! I’ll go ahead and update the submitted post. 🙂

P-spec Pride Flag

Plurspec/Pluspec/Plurispec/Plurospec (pluri- spectrum): encompassing plurian spectrums (polyamory and pluralian/multiattraction) & plurigenders/multigenders.

Multi- is known for affectional orientations (affinitive) and poly- as relational/relationship orientation (-affectionate/-affectionacy, -amory/-amour/-amorous, -erosy, -gamy/-gamous, -relatious), while pluri- can be either or both.

Panixic Pride Flag

image

Panixique/Nixpan/Pannixic/Pannixique: a nixic pangender-ness; an identity comprised of both genderless and partial pangender or pan-aligned aspects. These aspects can be experienced either simultaneously, fluidly or through fluctuations. Intended for those who feel both connected and detached from pangenderness and for those who have difficulty distinguishing their alignment from their gender.

Bispec Pride Flag

[image: a 10 striped flag with gradients of the bi flag’s purple and two stripes in the middle identical to each other. end ID]

Bi-spec (bi-spectrality or bi- spectrum): similar to multispec, many folks use bi as a spectrum for themselves, specially alluding the resignified/redefined meaning of it &/or its polysemies (varying definitions/descriptions). Many flex(i)-/-flexible people might be bi-spectrals while not intrinsically “bi”, within their intrapersonhood, for example.

Once I elaborated more about it via fb (plus exemplifying with an image) but it’s in pt-br. ~ AP

Antimanicomial Flag

mad-pride:

Antimanicomiality (or antimanicomialism): an organized movement of transformation about psychiatrist public services, involving people associated with mental health, such as psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers requesting a humanitarian improvement, raising awareness and fight discrimination (such as neurosexism, sanism, manicomialism and ableism) against mental patients.

Not to be confused with mad pride and anti-psychiatry movements. This is commonly translated as anti-asylum fight, that popped up in Brazil, since manicômio means madhouse and mad- in Portuguese has synonyms only (lunatic, insane, mentally ill…).

Effeminogender Pride Flag

Disaffectionality: an identity for expressing you don’t feel affection or denoting form(s) of attraction that are not affectional. You may experience affectionacy but in reality you want to connote a non-affection towards people/things.

See also: nonalterous/unalterous, analterous, aphilia, anattractional, nonamory, agamy. Keywords: unaffectional, disaffected, disaffective, disaffectivity, unaffective, nonaffective, asocial, disamour/disamory/disamorous.

Hi! My names Jae 🙂 I was wondering what my orientation may be and if you help me find some terms to help! I’m asexual for sure but I’m not sure about my romantic orientation? I’m attracted to everyone but feminine presenting genders? I want to be kind and not use derogatory terms so I hoped this blog could help!

Hey Jae! As Fe- is for attraction to feminine presentation, you could probably use Nofe-. So that would be Noferomantic, then. 🙂

Herrlein

https://dionysian-insatiety.tumblr.com/post/189659677588/herrchen

Madchen was coined by coloneldotexe and I coined Herrlein based off of it.

Herrlein is defined as:

An ainuline (ain + min; aporine-“masculine”), abinary aporagender that is comparable to binary and/or nonbinary masculinity, but lies outside of the binary gender spectrum; a gender identity that is “masculine” despite not being male or any gender derived from the binary. A herrlein has qualities that could be read as masculine, and as a result, may identify with manhood to varying degrees. Despite this identification, a herrlein mostly identifies with nonbinary, abinary, neuter or null gender descriptors and terminology. The term herrlein can also be used to describe a man or otherwise masculine-identifying person who is simultaneously abinary, and prioritizes their abinarity over their manhood. A herrlein can have any birth assignment, sexuality, or alignment. The term is used to refer to abinary, ainuline people or masc/abinary combos.

image
  • The top stripe represents ainulinity.
  • The middle stripe represents the neuter and null experience.
  • The bottom stripe represents abinarity.

》Para- terms! 🌟

.. 💫 original idea by @pastelbluberri

Finally, after months I made the flags for the labels I coined long ago about orientations related to paracosm/paras!

⚠️ : this has nothing to do with para/phi/lias, despite the similar names.

.. 💫 these labels are for maladaptive daydreamers and neuronarrators

..💫 1) Para : being attracted to paras (characters) in your paracosm. Can be combined with types of attraction (ex: pararomantic, paralterous, etc) and with other orientations (ex: para gay, demi parapansexual, etc )

..💫 2) Paraex- : being attracted only to paras in your paracosm. Can be combined with types of attraction and orientations. (Name idea by @xeno-aligned)

..💫 3) Parapluris : when your paracosm is composed by multiple stories and/or universes, and there are different versions/self inserts of you, and they have different orientations.

..💫 4) Paraflexible: being attracted only to paras, but with rare exceptions.

..💫 5) Divipara : when your orientation in your paracosm and your orientation irl are different.

..💫 6) Parafluid : when your attraction to paras is fluid but your orientation irl is static

..💫 7) Parafix : when your attraction to paras is static but your orientation irl is fluid

.

My blog is still small, but I would really be happy if these labels reached those who need them!

Hey, it’s me, Fy. Sorry I haven’t been around much lately, it’s been very much not fun for me in the past few months. I had a nasty case of bronchitis earlier, and now I have a broken collarbone and so I can’t use my dominant hand much. So unfortunately I still won’t be able to make any flags at the moment, but hopefully I’ll be able to get surgery soon and start the healing process for my bones lol.

I missed you all so much and I also hope you have and will have happy holidays! 2020 is fast approaching. @-@

Thirdsex Flag

parsex-pride:

A third-sex (tersex) is commonly used to denote an “other” sex category beyond “m” or “f” (of male or female) in documents for example. In some passports they don’t categorize “gender” but instead “sex”.

It would seem like biological essentialism, but some people interpret this as a psychosocial sex (often referred as brain sex in English). Denoting someone who is not dyadic, while not essentially intersex, hence may be classified as altersex.

Yes, some perisex people are registered civilly as third sexed. They might not be considered endosex or dyadic though.

Piá Pride Flag

image

[image: 5 stripes with purple, red, white, blue and green]

Piá: a slang similar to guri, indicates a dude or guy in South Brazil, specially Paraná, but also more inclusive than both and some people interpret this as a third gender and gender neutral.

It was historically used to denote an indigenous boy, a biracial/mestizo (or mestize/mestiza) [racially mixed] or at least nonwhite nonwoman (but in diminutive). Note I’m triracial and this is within my lane to reclaim this identity for myself any ways, but this label is pratically used regardless of ethnicity, culture or race.

Whorefeminist Flag

image

[flag: 5 lines with black, purple, pink, reddish pinky and dark red. image has darkened feminist symbol and red umbrella emoji. end id]

Whorefeminism: the articulation of sex workers to fight for their rights and fight the stigma of the profession, also a feminist intersectionality.

The term got popularized academically with the arrival of Putafeminista, a book. Other variations popped up historically, such as pornofeminism (however they minimize/reduce it into pornographic, but porno- etymologically comes from a word associated with “espicially engaging in sex acts in exchange for compensation”) and whoreactivism/putactivista.

Sex work is an umbrella term for anyone employed in sex industry, people who supplies sex work (short-term sexual services) in exchange for compensation, any jobbed folk in which sex or eroticism is involved, especially prostitution or pornography. Might also include sellers of adult or erotic/sexual products related to entertainment such as vibrators, lingerie or clothing, while they aren’t essentially contributing to sex industry.

Poxogender Flag

lgbtqiarchive:

Definition: an unifying term for non-binary people whose gender-ness is at least:

  • changing in intensity &/or identity (flux/fluid);
  • multiple/plural (multigender/plurigender);
  • divided/separated in parts (demigender);
  • mixed/combined (genderpotion/shuffler);
  • (in)between genders (centrigender);
  • reference gender binary (midbinary);
  • lia-/fia-/mia-gender (wif-/wer-gender);
  • other adjacent/aligned/similar experiences.

Po- is a play on apo-/apora- (which means separation), without a- it’s not essentially like that, while -oxo from roxo, meaning purple (do not confuse with proxogender and purplegender). The concept comes from the non-binary flag purple meaning:

Purple represents the fluidity and multiplicity of many gender experiences, the uniqueness and flexibility of nonbinary people, as well as representing those whose gender experiences include being of or between female and male.

Genderfluidity is synonymous to genderflexibility and genderflux to flexgender, but for in case of uniqueness, I imagine that some people that have their gender split/merged/partly (dis)identified while still monogender (being only one/singular gender), almost like gendervast.

“…being of or…female and male” gives some ambiguity if it’s both (femache) &/or one of them. And since it’s not mentioned ideogenders/bingenders (lin-/fin-/min-gender), I’m not putting them there inherently. Gender partialities/partial genders are included as demigenders.

Flag is an inverted colors from an allo/zed/z flag found googling. After inverting the colours and looking more at it I noticed they look like a mix of allo + aspec concepts (well yellow/golden is from aroallo, red is from alloace, black is a no attraction and grey is partially/circumstantially no attraction/grayspec), however I replaced a color and add another stripe.

Note that with the slash in definition I mean and/or (&, or; either or both), so the person could be alosexual while not strictly aromantic (alloaro), acespec aloromantic (aceallo) or both zedsexual and zedromantic (e.g. bisexual homoromantic, polyromantic pansexual, omniromantic trisexual, etc.).

Alternate labels: zeroamorist/zeroamour/zeroamoury/zeroamourous, zerogamous/zeramorous/zeramourous/zeramorist/zeramorism/zeroamorism, zeramour/zeramoury/zerogamory/zerogamoury/zerogamourous/zerogamourous, zerogamour/zerogamous/zerogamorist/zerogamorism/zerogamorous, zerorelatious/zerorelational, zerogamist/zerogamism, nullamory/nullamorous, zeramourist/zeramourism/zeroamourism/zeroamourist.

This term popped up as “zeroamorista” in some polyam groups. – Ap

Offbinary Pride Flag

[image: 5 stripes with light green, softly dark green, black, golden and yellow]

Off-binary or Exterbinary: sitting at a comfortable distance from the binarity; nonbinary genders that does not reference the binary;

identities/experiences existing outside of the gender binary and not having anything to do with it; or just the same as abinary.

Not to be confused with offgender, agender or exobinary.

– Ap

Midbinary Pride Flag

image

[image: 5 stripes with dark lilac, pink, white, blue and dark lavender]

Midbinarity or Endobinary: nonbinary identities/experiences associated to gender binary; genders (un)related incompletely to the binarity (as opposed to abinary, exterbinary or offbinary); sitting on top of the binary but not necessarily in it; existing within the context of the gender binary but are not strictly one or the other.

Not to be confused with endogender, halfbinary, binary nonbinary or midgender. These definitions can be iffy/specious, but many people was involved into defining it.

The blue and pink here are clarified/illuminated versions of a gender binary flag, they look derived from trans flag though. The dark purplish colors and white are likely the same meanings from nonbinary flag purple and white, however the purple-ish ones are more “binary-adjacent” I’d say.

Cupiohex Pride Flag

image

[image: 4 pale/pastel colored stripes with black, purple, green and blue]

Cupiohex: being attracted to people of other/different/dissimilar sexes/genders, but is willing to participate in affectional/affectionate/affective activities with people of the same/similar gender/sex (despite no attraction for them).

Based on cupiogex. I identify personally as platonically cupiohex. That being said, someone could be nonsexually cupiogex too.

varsex-pride:

sex is a spectrum

[image description: infinity symbol mixed to Venus and Mars signs in each sides. end ID]

That should go without saying but this needs to be said: “infinite spectrum” is probably a pleonasm because it’s in its definition.

As biopsychosocial beings, our sexes are also biopsychosocial constructs. It’s tied to both corporeal/incorporeal contexts (or material/immaterial bodies), such as mind/mentality, socialization and nature.

Social constructionism ≠ meaninglessness.

When a biologist says sex is social construct (constructed socially) it’s because all biology and science are entirely build and organized by society, it’s just another way of saying “we live in a society” and it translates as made up literally. But in fact it’s more than just that, this is a mixture of biopsychosocial and physiochemical constructs, in my PoV.

What’s “gendering sex”?

Intersex is not a gender (however some intersex people have their gender experience tied to their gender because identity narratives). Male and female are gender categories, therefore when you use them to describe your sex it’s called gendering your sex, in other words it’s socializing gender into your body.

Some examples an eunuch cis man can socialize their genital/gonadal sex as genderless, while other transgenital(ized) cisgender people can still associate their genitals with their gender attributed at birth; a bigonadal/ovotestis person can still gender their sex/gonads with a binary term (like male/female).

This is called freedom to self-determine labels for yourself. I have to point out here that being intersex is innate, altersex is not (at all).

Affirming sex is not finite, binary or dually identical, recognize that endosex/perisex/sex-ness dyadicity is also another conceptualization that matters, extremes have their proximity. Intersexism/endosexism/perisexism/dyadism is a dualism (to not say it’s binarism to not confuse it as gender).

Let’s debinarize and deimperialize it all, okay‽

Chosen Family Pride Flag

image

[image: 6 stripes with dark brown, light bloodish red, slightly palish yellow, pink, desaturated lilac and bluish-grayish black]

Chosen Family: A group of individuals who, based on emotional closeness, deliberately choose one another to play significant roles in each other’s lives and consider each other family even though they are not biologically or legally related.

Sometimes referred as socio-affectional family but sociofamilial/sociofamiliar includes (psycho)sociobiological/socio(psycho)biological/bio(psycho)social/(psycho)biosocial/(psycho)biosociological/bio(psycho)sociological/bio(socio)psychological/(socio)biopsychological/bio(socio)psychic(al)/(socio)biopsychic(al)/bio(socio)psychal/(socio)biopsychal families too.

Purposed adjectives: choixfamilial/choixparental/choixparenting (based on choix- orientation).

Some keywords: biosociofamilial, sociobiofamilial, biofamilial, choixparented, socioaffection/socioaffectionacy/socioaffectionality/socioaffectivity/socioaffect.

Colors meaning: the first represents family, alluding brother bear; the second refers to familial love; both third and fourth colours are related to q/platonicity (quasiplatonicity, (quasi)platonity/(q)platonity, (quasi)platonism/(q)platonism, queerplatonism/queerplatonicity/queerplatonity) since this is used in the aromantic community representing (quasi)platonic relatives and q/platonic parents; purple representing queer community that also adopted this term, including allies; last color for mental health/psychology/antimanicomial communities that also use it.

Note some chosen families are juridically/civilly/officially/formally recognized, but I’m not sure this terminology applies. – AP

Anaparental Flag

parenting-flags:

Anaparental: referring to a monopersonal/unipersonal family, wherefore a familial nucleus/entity consists of one person only.

Similar to unparental and soloparental, but this could be also autoparental (self-parenting). Reminder this is socioaffective/socioaffectional/socioaffectionate not biological.

Anglophones uses more -parenting than -parental(ity)/-parenthood apparently, I’m leaving here some keywords: anaparenting, uniparenting, autoparenting, unparenting/nonparenting, soloparenting, monoparenting, solopersonal, autopersonal, socioparenting, socioparental.

Self-partnered Pride Flag

image

Self-partnership (or self-partnering): one committed to oneself; being partner of yourself or your own significant other; not looking for a relationship other than you as opposed to singledom; or happy & content while single.

See also: self-, soloamorous/sologamous/autogamous/autoamorous, solo-, auto-, solum-, solus-, singulu-, non-partnered/unpartnered; self-married (self-marriage).

Coined/popularized by Emma Watson last month as a relationship status.

– Ap

Nonpartnered Pride Flag

image

Nonpartnering: describes a person who does not wish to form a significant partnership with others.

Often used along with nonamory, aromanticity, aplatonicity and agamy, however this could be more specific/explicit. While this has to do with not partnering (or having no partners), other labels may be related with no attraction or no relationship.

Gendergas Pride Flag

Gendergas: gender experience which expands to fill the entire container.

Coined by anonymous but possibly signified/described by @askanonbinary, since anon didn’t give a definition and most definitions ask clarification whether the container is the gender owner or not. In my interpretation this would be a genderfluxity because of the expansion part and genderfluidity allusion.

Alterhumangender Pride Flag

Alterhumanogender: an umbrella term for people whose gender identity is tied to their alterhumanity.

Meant to be more inclusive than just kingender, encompassing heartedgenders and other alterhuman-related genders. Can be also called alteranthrogender and alteranthropogender.

Some identities encompassed by this label still don’t have a name, such those based on copinglink/otherlink or synpath.

GENDERFALLE

GENDERFALLE (or Falle, or Gendertrapped)

Genderfalle is when one is stuck expressing a gender they don’t identify with, forced to be a gender they aren’t, and as a result their connection to their actual gender identity is blurry, hard to find, confusing or is somehow affected. Can also be affected by neurodivergence but the point is that the person can’t express or identify their actual gender because something else (transphobic family, society, negativity, fear, w/e) is forcing them to repress it and be something they aren’t.

Pronounced “falle” like “fall” with “eh” at the end.

“Falle” is German for ‘trap.’

  • Gold stands for the gilded performance on the surface, like a fake gold paint on top of a cheap object to try and make it look more appealing.
  • Purple stands for the real gender underneath that’s being repressed.
  • Black is for the cage or the separation between the person’s forced expressed gender and their real gender, and how they have lost touch with their gender.
  • Gray is for neugenders (genders that aren’t male or female).
  • Green is for male/male-aligned genders.
  • Pink is for female/female-aligned genders.
  • Maroon is for the depression of losing one’s connection to their real gender because it’s mixed with the gender they’re forced to be.
  • The gold-to-purple stands for how the forced gender affects the person’s real gender. (Or their perception of their real gender.)
  • The dull colors represent the unfortunate situation and how being forced to be a gender someone doesn’t identify with can actually ‘dull’ their perception or understanding of their own gender. (Also being forced into the closet is just not good.)

Yes this can include agenders!!!

Aro/ace exclusionists, TERFS, SWERFs, pedos & pedo apologists, abuse shippers, TEHMs, racists, sexists, ‘gender criticals’, anti-endo systems, & truscum/transmeds HANDS OFF!!!

Pluralian Varioriented Flag

image

[Image description: A flag with a dark purple, light purple, then dark purple stripe. There is a purple flower on the middle stripe. In the left side of the flag is a black semicircle. End ID.]

Pluralian, also known as multisexual or mspec (multisexual spectrum), is an umbrella term for people who are attracted to multiple genders.

Varioriented refers to someone who’s sexual orientation and romantic orientation are “mismatch”. For example, someone who is asexual panromantic. Varioriented is typically used to describe a-spec people who use the split attraction model, however, there can be varioriented people who are both allosexual and alloromantic.

Single Flag

image

[Image description: a vertical light cyan bar surrounded by black lines and grey rectangles on both sides. End ID]

Singledom (singleness, singlism, singlehood or singleism): the state or sphere of those who are single (unmarried or unattached); not married or not involved in a stable relationship or not dating anyone exclusively.

Based on long-distance relationship pride flag. Synonym with sole, unwed(ded), free, wifeless, husbandless, spouseless, partnerless, spinster, unleashed, bachelor(ette), unbound, lone and singular.

While I know this is unrelated to nonmonoamory, celibacy/chastity, aromanticity, nonamory or agamy, many people adopt this as a term for themselves instead of monogamous, just as in free love (relationship anarchy/anarchoamory/free relational).

Gender Trinary Flag

Gender Trinarity/Ternarity: a classification system consisting of three gender arities.

Ternary includes identities often societally classified in the Western gender binary too, however it changes from culture to culture, depending on life experience, it’s hard to categorize what is the tertiary gender entry for everyone.

Originally this was coined as (qua)ternary/(qua)trinary in mind. The “third” alternative gender base could be any pre-existing terms people give you other than M/F, such as androgyne, neutrois, agender, third-gender or even “nonbinary” as a monogender.

Due to varying interpretations it’s up for you to self-determine if you’re trinary or not. – Ap

Variamorous Pride Flag

image

Variamory/Varigamy: any relationship orientation/amory that does not conform or fit into societal ideals of relationships (such as monoamory and monofidelity); variant gamies/amories.

Examples: nonamory, agamy, nonheteroamory, ludum, gamyflux, polymonoflux, polyfidelity (more specific to varifidelity), homoamory.

Coined by @variant-archive

Queeramorous/queergamous could be a thing too but I guess queergamy/queeramory is more for QLQ people.

– Ap

Nonmonogender Pride Flag

Non-monogender: a category for all identities/terms that are not monogender; an umbrella term for everyone that is not monogender or whose gender identity is not singular.

This encompasses genderlessness and multigender, for example. Combining agender and polygender flags. Based on nonmonosexual.

Not to be confused with gendernonmono (an orientationgender) or polyagender. – Ap

Person Pride Flag

Personhood as gender: many individuals identify “person” or “folk” as a gender term for themselves.

Nonman Pride Flag

Nonmanhood: a non-gender umbrella term for anyone who is not a man.

Hello! I made this flag a few years ago. (I also made that color palette when deciding on colors!)

Here’s my explanation for color choices.

Oh sweet! I had no idea the flag originated on Tumblr, I couldn’t find it anywhere else at the time. The color scheme is great!

-Fy

So, um.. this is the Nogender flag. I made it myself, and its for people who dont feel like any gender, or that feel a disconnect from the concept of gender itself, or feel uncomfortable with pronouns at all. The pronouns are __/–/–_/–__ (pronounced mm, mn [mh-nn], mns, and mnself. Im sorry if it seems weird, or like a troll (i promise its not), or similar to something else.

oh shoot- sorry, im the Nogender person, i forgot to explain the flag. the grey-blue stripe represents masculine-presenting nogender, the pink-grey one represents feminine-representing nogender, and the grey stripe represents nonbinary/androgenous presenting nogender.

Is there a specific term for aesthetic attraction toward a certain gender/genders? Not just “having a type” because the “type” would still exist as a subcategory of the aesthetic attraction, just like sexual attraction.

——–

You would use -aesthetic in place of -sexual as a suffix for your aesthetic orientation instead of sexual orientation. So, for example, if you are aesthetically attracted to women, you could say that you’re womaaesthetic (whereas you’d say you’re womasexual if you were sexually attracted to women).

Hope that’s what you were looking for!

Genderincimicus

momma-mogai-sphinx:

Genderinimicus: A sentiogender which describes a gender experience that cannot be fully felt/comprehended/understood because each time one attempts to mediate on their gender and determine what it does or does not entail/encompass, they feel a great sense of unease or anxiety, they begin to panic, or they become greatly distressed/distraught (including feelings of anger/frustration/despair) over not being able to make the determination. Note that this is not a distress that comes solely from uncertainty, but is a gender experience that necessarily involves an anxious/panicked/distressed sense of one’s own gender. The experiencer is therefore at odds with their gender, and this is the only thing they can know for certain, even if they can approximate what else their gender encompasses.

This is dissimilar to questioning or quoigender because it necessarily entails a dissatisfaction with one’s inability to fully grasp their gender. It is NOT just “IDK my gender” or “my gender is IDK”; it’s “I’m disappointed that I don’t know my gender because some emotional barrier is in the way, but I’d still like a term that describes that experience.”

The name comes from the Latin for adversary/enemy to illustrate how one
always feels at odds with their gender due to it being just beyond
reach.

This term was made with people with personality and anxiety disorders in mind (of which I am both), but anyone who can’t get a grip on their gender due to panic/distress/anxiety can use it.

If you have any problems with this particular term, please
let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to
correct the issue.🦋

Sentiogenders

momma-mogai-sphinx:

Sentiogender: Like xenogender or neurogender, this is not technically an identity in itself, but an umbrella term for many gender identities. It comes from the Latin sentio for “to feel/perceive/experience” and means “any gender identity which is not necessarily a gender itself, but rather a descriptor for how one experiences their gender.” For example, affinative genders are experienced through one’s attraction to a certain gender or genders (e.g. sappho/achillegender, julerigender). The most common sentiogender might be genderfluid, which describes a gender experience that is fluid, but does not describe exactly what genders it is fluid between. For this reason, sentiogenders are most often used in conjunction with other labels that describe the gender itself rather than how it’s experienced (e.g. someone who is veneergender and “wears” the label man). Partial sentiogenders (which still fall on the sentio spectrum) might be when a sentiogender is used as a modifier, such as with condigirl deriving from condigender; or when a sentiogender otherwise becomes more specific to approximate the what of a gender experience while also describing the how, as with genderfae.

You can think of it as being a gender term that’s sort of analogous to amative orientations.

If you have any problems with this particular term, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.🦋

Coining terms!

So I had a idea, altogender!

An alto (probably more androgynous gender) is a singing part typically sung with low female voices or high male voices. It’s a gender that depending on which way you’re leaning (masc, fem) will feel either high or low to the gender inside you.

In addition to these we have tenorgender (a more masculine branch of altogender) and sopranogender (a more feminine branch).

If anyone wants more information on these genders, feel free to message me!!

Also, could someone maybe design flags for these genders? Could you also tag me in the post if you don’t reblog this one thanks 🙂

(This term might’ve already been taken or maybe a label like this already exists, idk)

Chaotiqueer – an umbrella term/self-applied label for anyone whose queerness (gender identity/expression and/or orientation/s and possibly the grayness between all of them) is “unleashed.” It’s strange, bold, hard to define, and may be in some way related to any of the following: relationship anarchy and/or cultural gender fluidity and/or pluraffectionality; being unapologetically visible with your gender/orientation despite marginalization; being mercilessly against cis/hetero/amatonormativity in the way you express and care for yourself; many trendercore values including radical acceptance & self-love, pride, nonconformity, etc.; the blurring of the lines between other identities such as ethnicity, neurodivergency, or alterhumanity with one’s queerness; and so on.

I don’t have an idea for a flag, but maybe someone else would like to make one?

I haven’t heard the term used yet, but either way I really like it. Thanks for submitting it!

I can make a flag for it!!!!!

@beyond-mogai-pride-flags !!!!

So, I was looking for a fempansexual flag but couldn’t find one, even if there was mention of it.
So I made one because it’s what I identify as;
Meaning I’m attracted to all genders and sexes but have a stronger attraction to people with a feminine presentation and/or features.

There’s probably another flag out there but here’s this as an alternative ♥

The purple is a mix of pink and blue which are the colors traditionally used to represent women/men, it’s there to indicate added attraction to fem presentation (i.e on guys)

i think it would also work with an added pinkish yellow on top to make it a 5-striped flag but I left it at that

I hope you like it!!

(repost instead of submission since i wanna be anonymous!)

weirdgirl pride flag! coined by me and my other weirdgirl friend, it’s when you’re kind of a binary girl, but in a weird way! (this isn’t a troll btw, it’s my actual gender)

the pink stands for the more binary weirdgirls, the peach for the less binary ones, and the yellow for the solidarity between weirdgirls and other girls!

Thanks for the submission.

momma-mogai-sphinx:

Censari flag requested by anon.

Censari – a combination of cenrell and faesari; a gender identity where one feels most comfortable within the gender neutral spectrum, but still feels a strong attachment to both masculinity and femininity.

If you have any problems with this particular flag design, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.🦋

I made a flag for my gender since i just kinda..couldn’t find a good identity to fit me properly, it’s called Defessugender, deriving from Latin Defessus meaning jaded or tired, and it’s a nonbinary/agender identity associated with jadedness toward your gender or exhaustion with it, sometimes due to mental disorders or external influences. I guess it’s kinda like a Neurogender? And it can be any presentation, but is often androgynous.

That’s great! Thanks for the submission!

Abinarian Pride Flag

Abian (abianary, abinaric or abinarian): being ablab/ala only; an abinary person attracted exclusively to abinary folks.

[Image: 5 stripes of gradients from yellow to green]

See also: arbinale, ferroconic. – Ap

Nonbinarian Pride Flag

Nonbian (nonbianary, nonbinarian or nonbinaric): being nblnb/nln only; a non-binary person attracted exclusively to nonbinary people and experiencing NO attraction to binary individuals.

I know there are folks using cetero-/skolio-/(e)scolio- or enbian for this situation, but these had multiple different definitions sporadically.

Sapphandric Pride Flag

image

Sapphandry: describing ambigender or femache people attracted to femaches or ambigender folks; symmaic male-female people.

Combining sapphic with andric. Since gynandric is used to another thing. Femachic, ambian/ambic or femachian could also work. Not to be confused with sapphocupioandro.

If this fells so poudrettian (mlm wlw), we can mix duaric (wlm/mlw) and have duapphandric. Juleric (romeric julietian) would be so long (jumapphandric or julapphandric).

Bigender (nonbinary-leaning) Pride Flag

[Image: 7 stripes colored with darkish yellow, lightish yellow, violetish grey, white, violet-ish gray, light-ish yellow and dark-ish yellow]

Bigender: having two distinct gender identities, either at the same time, or at different times. Not necessarily ambigender.

– Ap

Pixelagender Pride Flag

Pixelagender or Pixelgenderlessness: A subset of demigender or polygender when genderlessness is the smallest addressable element in an overall gender experience. A pixelgenderless would be a tiny bit “agender” but mostly something else.

See also nanoagender/nan0agender/nanagender, magicomgender, demiagender, polyagender. – Ap

Bigender (Nonbinary Female) Pride Flag

Bigender: having two distinct gender identities, either at the same time, or at different times. Not necessarily ambigender.

Based on bigender (woman-leaning) flag edit by @ask-pride-color-schemes and bigender nonbinary male flag edit by @nblmgalaxy, yellow reminds the abinary flag and pale super pink the woman flag, both together the girlby flag.

Representing/symbolizing people whose bigender identity includes female and non-binary, such as androgyne gal, maverique woman or fem agender.

I wasn’t personally happy with the current achillean flag, so I decided to take a crack at it myself.

(Achillean is a term used to describe masculine people who are attracted to other masculine people.)

The blue frames the flag on the outside and represents masculinity. It is purposefully darker than the existing flag’s baby blue, as the baby blue felt representative of boyhood more than manhood and masculinity. The blue also acts as secondary to the green, just as the Achillean label focuses more on one’s attraction to masculinity than one’s identity as masculine.

The green carnation is classically understood to represent homosexuality because of a practice popularized by Oscar Wilde, who would wear a green carnation on his lapel as to indicate his sexual preference. Just as there is a diversity of colors among green carnations, there are a variety of greens in the middle stripe. This represents the diversity of sexualities, gender identities, and backgrounds of those included under the Achillean flag.

The Achillean flower was sourced from here. The blue stripes are each a quarter of the flag’s vertical height, and the green covers the remaining half in the center.

Awesome! Great submission. 🙂

is it possible for my gender to be tied to altitude? my gender used to only change when i travelled in planes, but recently i climbed mount fuji while on vacation in japan. while climbing i noticed the same effect

——–

The only one the sounds anything like that is:

Montanegender: a gender related to montane grasslands and shrublands, snow, water, wind, grass, and high altitudes; extremely cold and thin.

If that’s not what you’re looking for, you’re welcome to coin something!

-Fy

image

Girlflux/Femaleflux?

– Ap

Ocugender: A gender that is only present when one looks for it.

-Ap

Solaric: attraction to masc-aligned enbies, masculine enbies, solarians, and novarians, but not men.

Viren-: feeling attraction specifically to nonbinary men and male-aligned nbs, and not binary men.

You can combine cetero-/skolio- (attraction to non-binary folks) or enboric with andro-/masc- or mascu-/min-/masculi-/manu-. For example andren-/andrenboric, androcetero-/ceteroandro-, minenboric/minen-, ceteromasc(u)-, manuenboric, ceteromanu-/manucetero-, masculicetero-/ceteromasculi-.

– Ap

Juparettian: someone who is both juparian and lunettian; linked to soft celestial feminine and masculine combined energies. Similar to saturnian.

– Ap

You could use ambonec and genderfluid. Just suggesting, I’m unsure if this will help. -Ap

I don’t think there is. What about angelisexual? Based on angeligender. -Ap

Fandomgender: a catchall term for genders related to an existing fandom in some way.

Mediagender or Mediafluid: when your gender changes depending on what media you’re viewing at the moment.

Cinemagender: a gender that is related to or influenced by any part of the cinema.

Fictigender: when your gender is connected to the fictional character(s) or species you identify as; or when you feel like genders in the real world don’t apply to you because you identify as a fictional character or species. See also: fictogender.

– Ap

Genderflor: a fluid identity that never encompasses male or female genders.

Enbyfluid: a gender that can change to any gender (like genderfluid) except binary genders.

Eafluid, Enbyfluid, Nobifluid: When your gender is fluid between multiple nonbinary genders, or where none of the genders experienced include any degree of masculinity or femininity.

Hope that helps! – Ap

Cubgender: a gender that is small, rowdy, cute and any other quality associated with bear cubs, that is bear cub-like and/or connected to bear cubs.

Feel free to coin one if you don’t feel represented enough. There are preffixes such as ursa- and arkouda- referring to bears if you want;   – Ap

image

Duo- Having two or more well defined orientations that you switch between.

Gaypan-/Pangay- when someone is pan- men but their attraction leans towards the same gender; (switching) between pan- and gay; being gay and pan-, as if all of their definitions fit you or you’re a mix of both.

Gaybi-/bigay- identifying as bi- & gay, as if all of their definitions fit you or you’re a mix of both; amplusic individuals fluctuating between gaysexual and bisexual identities; when someone is bi- but their attraction is gay leaning.

Aniso-: being homoflexible, i.e. gayflexible, flexgay/flexigay.

See also panflexible, flex-/flexi- (flexpan/flexipan, flexibi/flexbi), homobi-. – Ap

Duogamous Pride Flag

image

Duogamy: refers to a bisexual individual who has two exclusive sexual partners, one of each (different) gender.

The word “duogamous” is mentioned in the bisexual manifesto, I guess this could be also used by any m-spec folk dating two folks of dissimilar genders.

See also: biamorous, duo-, polyam-, plurian. ~ Ap

NBLF Pride Flag

NBLF, XLF or NLF (non-binary loving fems): describing a nonbinary person attracted to feminine individuals.

See also: feminamoric/femin(a)-, fem-/fe-/femi-/fin-, gyne-/gine-/gino-/gyno-, trixic/nblw/nlw/xlw, proqua-, lunaric, femaric.

Seems that NBLF was coined by @nebuvoid. ~ AP
