That most “ACES ARENT LGBT” or “AROS ARENT LGBT” boil down to (basically)….

“They aren’t oppressed”

Honey, DO YOU EVEN KNOW THE DEFINITION OF SAID WORD? Not the social definition bullshit.

This is a screenshot from Dictionary.com, one of the “go-to” places on the web, to learn the definition of something.

According to ANY of these definitions, it fucking fits. I’d go into further detail here, but I don’t want to add more length to this post than I have to.

“They don’t experience corrective sexual assault”

Yes they fucking do. Countless stories (anecdotal or otherwise) proves that asexuals have been sexually assaulted as an attempt to “change” them. Aromantics often are coerced into romantic relationships as a way to “attempt to force them to change”.

“Cisgender heteroromantic asexuals are basically straight.”

Holy fuck, no. This would be like saying “AFAB {assigned female at birth} bisexual who prefers guys is basically straight”. Do you see how fucking offensive and wrong that is? Asexuals DO NOT experience sexual attraction. Period, end of story.

“Asexuals and aromantics don’t experience harrasement”

Take a peek at “exclusionist” tumblrs folks.

“Asexuals are synonymous with cellibacy”

Hell to the fucking no.

“Cisgenders don’t belong to the LGBT community”

Whelp, there’s goes a good chunk of cisgender lesbians/gays, bisexuals, pansexuals/omnisexuals, etc.

“Heteroromantics don’t belong to the LGBT community.”

Again, there goes a bunch of lesbians/gays, bisexuals, pansexuals/omnisexuals, etc.

“Asexuals don’t have a sexuality.”

Yes, they do. They just experience it differently. Having no sexual attraction doesn’t mean you lack the capacity of experiencing different types of “sexual” experiences (having sex for fun, to make a baby, experiencing fetishes and kinks, etc.)
